Oh, so you're only half right then? And didn't he say that was 50/50 for the Jets drafting a QB? So, less than half? I don't recall him saying Wilson had to go, do you? And wasn't the critical comment about all the people who said to dump Wilson, not just one guy who said something unfavorable? Your game of telephone has gone off the line.
From a mathematical perspective saying something is going to happen is not the same as 50/50. I wouldn’t take Brad or you to Vegas with me.
Wilson sets an all time Jet record for most 20 yard pass completions in the first 4 games of a season with 15 breaking Namath's record of 13. So much for boring football. https://www.newyorkjets.com/news/inside-the-numbers-zach-wilson-jets-offense-made-strides-vs-titans
The Jets have two 4th round picks. We gave ours to Seattle as part of the Adams trade, but we have Carolina's as part of the Darnold trade, and have Minnesota's as our return for Chris Herndon.
Again. Bouncing Wide open simple 5 yard passes. Throwing behind receivers. Sacks... OLINE was solid today and he looked absolutely awful. Yes yeah.. Rookie.. Ya. Welp upside right?
There aren't a lot of excuses today. Only one "drop" that I really remember to Davis in the first quarter and the ball was way behind him. Protection was very good. Play calling was meh but there were throws out there to be made. He did not play good at all.
Yeah this was a rough one for Wilson. Only his 5th game first time playing in a different country whole team looked uncomfortable today idk just move on. Didn't get embarrassed at least
You're so desperate to defend the kid and be right that you can't see what's in front of you. The Falcons allow 264 yards through the air a game. We had 150 heading into the final drive and finished with 192. They allow 32 points a game. We scored 20. Yeah he played terribly. The defense played terrible on third down but the offense not being competitive for long stretches is what's hurting this team. The defense was on the field for like 13 of the first 15 minutes of the game.
No excuses he was awful today. Looked totally over his head against a very bad defense. Right now, our head coach, defensive staff and young talented defense are the only things to hang our hat on as fans.
Id hardly Put this on wilson. This was a total team failure and honestly, a large part of it was coaching on all sides. Poor defensive playcalling and poor offensive play calling. Ill ask again, in a 2 min huddle, down 10, wtf are you running PA for? Thats coaching.
The Jets had a chance to win in the 4th quarter. Make a stop and we win. I'm sure of it. Not only did they not hold them to a FG, they let them score a fucking TD.
Yeah I mean the play calling leaves a lot to be desired. But think about it for a second - this offense is also tailored around Wilson and what he did in college. This was his big appeal. Shot plays, deep balls and throwing the ball down field off the play action. His short throw accuracy is very poor right now, so I don't blame LaFleur entirely for the offense being structured this way. He's trying to play to strengths. With that being said, the offense needs to be amended in the bye week. Easy throws and get a rhythm going. The loss is on the entire team. The quarterback played terrible, regardless if it's completely his fault or not (that's just arguing semantics).
I was only able to see about 40 minutes of the game, but the OL was anything but solid in what I saw. Zach was running for his life as soon as the ball was snapped. Fant was getting beat like a drum as was GVR. Zach had no chance to do anything, and there were no holes for the RBs.
