The defense is going to go as Quinnen Williams goes. He struggled in the first 2 games and they struggled as a unit, although there were a lot of bright spots.

But when Q is playing up to the level we know he can, the DL becomes something really tough to deal with.

This unit by itself is going to make this season fun for me.

John Franklin Meyers is applying what he learned from Aaron Donald. He was interviewed last year and he credited learning a lot from the Rams DL players.

I see a lot more discipline on their pass rush as well. Guys are crashing the pocket but not abandoning their lanes.

Maybe it's just what's caught my attention... but I see Q peeling off blocks better.

I have to disagree. Although Q has a lot to do with the success, I think the video was correct calling out the whole unit. There is plenty of game balls to be given out to the defense this sunday.....they ALL feed of one another.

One of those names in the elite group of DEs isn’t like the others.

The DL has been entertaining for sure, very energetic, but probably would've been a much different outcome if Tennessee would've had their 2 top receivers

A wins a wins, lets not forget the Jets did everything in their power to lose that game.

Good teams seem to be able to pull out games even through adversity. Call it luck...Call it the ball bouncing their way...Call it what you wish. Maybe this team is starting to learn how to win those games that we would have lost in the past. It's only one game, but you got to walk before you run. I'm excited for the future.

DL has been a bright spot, and is making the very inexperienced secondary and LB crew (outside of Mosley) look better.

Should get Phillips back soon as well.
If Lawson hadn't been injured, I think this front would be elite.

Next offseason, have to re-sign JFM and Fatukasi imo.
Really want to see this core group with Lawson on the field (assuming Lawson can even bounce back from this injury, fingers crossed there).

Yeah but it's usually the Jets missing the FG & coming up short.

I'm talking about the season overall. Saleh didn't give Quinnen a much higher expected snap count than the entire rest of the DL because he has a nice smile.

Agree 100%. And with Carl back next year and Q in top form, it will be the sack exchange of old.

I'm really hoping Carl Lawson can come back in time for the beginning of next season but that Achilles hurts his chances of sticking with the team long enough to make a meaningful contribution. The odds of Douglas picking up that third year are pretty slim at this point.

It sucks because Carl Lawson the person just seems like the perfect fit for this team, but Carl Lawson the football playing business commodity has lined up catastrophic injury after catastrophic injury in his career.
