I was just saying JFM and Fatukasi need to be re-signed. I’m surprised he signed now too, but sometimes doing it early is advantageous to the team, and the player gets some security against injury. Good move! JFM earned it too.
Means we got him cheaper than if he carried on doing this level of performance for a full season. Dude never had big (nfl) paychecks and we offered it him and he can play without injury concerns now. I'm curious. Do players ever buy insurance contracts in case of injury. For example, if the player is on the last year of his contract and has more playing years left in him, does he buy an insurance contract that pays big $$ in case of a career ending injury? Also, what happens if they have a career ending injury in the middle of a multi-year contract with guaranteed money left?
