Like I said hopefully he gets some good looks because he's arguably the most talented receiver on this team. It's all about opportunity. If they don't get him the rock shame on the coaching staff.
I read that Crowder was itching to get on the field against the Broncos... so who knows. He doesn't seem like a diva at all.
Of course he wants to play. He is in a contract year. He needs to put up numbers , this is likely his last chance at a significant multi year deal.
He has ZERO speed. I saw it right away last year. I'll go as far as to say he's not a pro caliber receiver because of it. He gets zero seperation, every pass thrown his way will be tightly contested which makes every pass thrown his way a high batted pass or int. risk.
Did he play more than a handful of snaps? I couldn't tell because I watched most of the game on my laptop screen. Also, Zach had that force-feeding Corey Davis thing going on in the first half.
Probably time to see what you can get for him. He's obviously not part of the plan with this coaching staff. Chalk it up to yet another horrendous Jets second round pick and move on.
On the play I saw, they used him as a fake jet sweep on a run where the defense didn't bite and stopped Carter for a loss.
I was at the game behind the jets bench and he was constantly standing next to the coaches trying to get in lol….there was one play in the 2nd qtr he was wide open on and Zach missed him and threw an incomplete to a different receiver…he came off the field and was visibly upset. He didn’t play too much after that and when he was in they ran or he was almost a decoy clear out on the few pass plays he was in on Clearly just a reserve guy today
He's got top speed but not quickness or twitchiness. Tyreek Hill the rare guy who is elite in both quickness and top end speed.
Mims was not a horrendous pick. LaFleur is a horrendous OC. I'd rather keep Mims, and fire the CS and start over.
He does have some good YAC ability but it’s more due to strength and getting to top end speed if he can turn it up in time. he can be useful on deep balls, sideline throws, and drags…also in the red zone
