No me either. His arm talent is great but he's had a very bad start to the year. I only use him as an example because one would assume Riley would want him if he went to a bad team with no established quarterback.
I don't see how we're not picking top 5 maybe top 3 if there's no improvement. Idk what position we're even picking. QB, pass rusher, or tackle I assume
I believe he was the number 1 qb in the nation, coming out of High School in Arizona, perhaps he has the talent to become a great nfl qb.
its nasty in here already........ come on guys. no surprise. its still a major work in progress. one glaring problem i see is the lack of a young all pro stud at any one position (please do not say punter) DESPITE our draft positions the past few drafts. yes i realize its been a QB fest with 2 high picks but the historical gaps in rounds 2-3 are killing us. certainly too early to tell if douglas has started to correct that with his recent picks but the jets are under the bus and just can't crawl out. until bonafide talent emerges on the field - consistently - we are doomed. edit - i'm on record for a poor ass start (1-6, 1-7) but then an "improvement", especially from the QB, should get us 2-3 wins. we'll see.
I think there have been some bright spots from this last draft I'm really liking the play of both Michael Carter's I think Elijah Moore has a lot of potential. Mann was a stud until he got hurt. Echols has been good. Had a rough day yesterday but he's a rookie. He's had a really good start to his career But to your point, it needs to become more consistent because the 2020 Draft class was horrendous
if you have netflix then he was featured in the documentary series QB1 (as was Justin Fields) where they follow them through their final year of HS
One benefit of having Wilson already in the fold is that if we end up with the 1st pick, we can do what some wanted to do this year and trade down.
None of the rookies have looked good, but Lawrence has shown the most poise and potential in the first 3 games. He's made some big time throws and has showed the ability to move the ball downfield.
Agree!! I’m 60 years old with stage 4 cancer I DONT have many more season to wait !!I’m done emotionally investing in this organization… Not going to say I won’t watch games… but emotionally I’m done
The problem is JD has not got the jets ONE player in two years to hang our hats on and say he’s a star player… not draft or FA
We need to go after one of these few players 1. Neal, Stingley or Thibedeaux 2. Best IOL Seattle Pick 3. Best OL round 2 4. BPA Carolina pick preference on OL or WR/TE
Gotta love Seattle losing again and Wilson could be out for some time. Currently sitting 13th. Looking at their schedule, this pick may stay in the top 15.
Absolute fucking nonsense. You should just go ahead and quit being a Jets fan now, because you've lost it. That's nonsense on many levels.
