I woke up this morning after a rough drunkin new years and the first thing that came to my head was how proud I am of this damn team and to be a fan of it. Mangini officially took the pedestal on what it means to be a role model and an inspiration not only to the players but to his fans. He is molding a team who plays for the TEAM with heart not for INDIVIDUAL for the check and that... is what I love the most. After reading some of the quotes in the paper and on internet articles I just paused and just thought... this isn't a team, this is a family!

I was always a supporter of Chad... but like all of us, I gave him his fair share of shit. We all jump on stats...

SPLIT CMP ATT YDS CMP% YPA LNG TD INT SACK RAT
    2006 313 485 3352 64.5 6.91 71 17 16 30 82.6

Sure that looks average at best but if you put any other QB's name with those stats on this team we would not be going to the playoffs this season or anytime in the near future. Chad Pennington is not going to be known for his stats... hes going to be known for being one of the smartest leaders that this league has ever seen. He is going to be known for a leader who refuses to quit, and continues to motivate regardless of the circumstances. And guys, hes going to be known as one of the best players to ever put on the Green and White. Something hit me... to this day forward I look at Chad Pennington as one of my All-time favorite Jets.

Guys what a bright future this team has, we have a team with not only an amazing attitute and discipline. But we have a talented team with that fire to win... and wow am I excited! Mangini and the Jets, if you by some crazy chance read this I cant express anymore how proud I am to be a fan of this organization. Happy New Years. :)

    Now lets get those Patriots!!!!

Agree with you on all points. Chad is a great, smart, leader. He buys into the coaches philosophy, and sets an example for the rest of the team with his work ethic. He doesn't make many mistakes, and always lifts up his teammates. Class act, class leader, Leader of this team, and true Jet.

He doesn't have to prove anything to anyone, HE LEADS AND WINS.
