The funny part is Chris Watts. His Dad made him admit what he did in custody, he still lied and confabulated, and his Dad was diddling with his phone.
There could be people helping him. He had quite the head start, who knows what resources the parents, or even the sister just north of them had to give him a ride out of the area. I think that little 3 day excursion is the key. They were gone before she was reported missing, could have stocked him up and got him away. But now, they are going to bear the brunt of it. They will be called in on this.
That was another case that bothered me a lot . I remember watching for every detail because I just wanted to k ow how the hell someone could do something like that. I think his mother was a huge influence on him for that.
the van was gabby's van. it ended up at the Laundrie's home. can't they just arrest his parents for a stolen vehicle? i understand not wanting to charge him with murder as that would push him further away from coming out of hiding. but if you arrested his parents for that it would both cut off a potential lifeline and put pressure on his family/anyone aiding him
also aint it kinda telling that nobody has come out saying he was always a good guy and they never could see him killing that girl? He dont have a buddy, co-worker, anyone?

Just my opinion, but I think they helped him, thinking she wouldn’t be found. Her being found , from what I understand is in large part thanks to the other campers that had the van in their footage and remembered it . If not for that, who knows if they would have found her or when. I’m sure the parents are regretting their decisions , and this is all unraveling in a way they didn’t expect. They apparently went to visit another lawyer yesterday… I’m wondering if the original lawyer they had dropped them.

I think the parents are probably in some trouble given the delay in reporting his absence, particularly if they knew he left his wallet and cell phone behind.
On what charge? If they were asked direct questions about those things and are found to have lied they could face a minor charge.
I know Gabby’s step father, I’m not going to speak on this situation out of respect for him. However when I get all the factual information from him, I will share it with the board.
