He's dead or out of the country My prediction is parents charged with obstruction, aiding and abetting . They left his car near swamp so Police can chase tails or down a rabbit hole. Gut says so Also CNN reporting the nut case Laundrie was observed screaming and yelling at hostess in Diner out West ..came back in to yell 4 times
Arrest warrant issued… for unauthorized use of devices. Edit/It’s for using a capital one credit card This whole case, and the handling of it is so strange. the indictment doesn’t mention gabby at all, just use of a debit card. But I’m sure they’re just being smart with the charges. Now that he had a fed arrest warrant, that changes the stakes for anyone harboring, aiding him.
I agree his parents should be charged. I don’t think he’s dead though. His whole theme seems to be about “survival”, from what I read, he’s really into wilderness survival etc.
Best case scenario is he gets eaten by a gator and the feds have enough evidence to lock his parents up for a long time.
The one thing that is good about this is that it's opening cold cases. Some cops and detectives really do care. And a lot of cops also cared in the past. RIP Baby Hope. What a fckd up story that is. But she finally got a name after the fact: Anjelica Castillo. Took 22 years to solve, but the cops paid for her tombstone and burial when she was found in a cooler. Not all cops are racist assholes.
Definitely, and then there are some that fuck up their job so much that a case can’t be solved, or a fiancé gets a huge head start to disappear. But I agree, I’ve seen a few cases get more attention over the last week.
He and the parents are morons of they agreed that he'd go into wilderness hiding in Florida. There's plenty of wilderness in Alabama and Mississippi and even as far as Louisiana with as much of a head start as he had.
I don't think he's in that preserve/reserve. Let me go hide in what's essentially a swamp with some dry areas and pitch a tent? Make a fire? The thing is, he's on foot . . . BUT . . . he did get a headstart before this blew open, so who knows if he took a bus or whatever. No way he flew. Amtrak to wherever if anything. The only thing about being in the woods is you need supplies, you have to get supplies, and you need to cook, etc. He's not a survivalist to boot.
Arrest warrant has been issued, so he's no longer a person of interest. FBI must have come up with some damning evidence. EDIT: It turns out the arrest warrant is for withdrawing $1,000 with her debit card on August 30th. Something they can use to hold him if they find him.
Here's another thing that's baffling: he hitchiked away from where the van was abandoned, alledgedly 30 mins worth of driving - which is a lot of miles - and then walked back to the van to take off? He bought gas in Illinios, which you wouldn't think is the fastest route to get back to FL, but it turns out it kind of is.
I don't know that preserve but most parks and preserves around these parts will have pine flatlands within the lowland areas, they also have fresh water springs and plenty of wildlife. It would be extremely rough but someone that is trained could absolutely last for months or longer. Of course that does not take into account the search going on for him. I used to hike the Chassahowitzka Wildlife Management Area which is close to the same size as Carlton and there are places you could get to well off trail to hide out. Carlton also is attached through forests and lowlands to more reserves and state parks like Peace River and Warm Mineral Springs which vastly increases the area he could cover. Haven't been paying too much attention to the case itself so this is just my input on the possibility of hiding out in the area. It wouldn't be like Eric Rudolph in the Nantahala National Forest but could be done.
Does this indictment make it easier to go after the parents? Or is that still tough because it was before the indictment.
The parents are screwed for life, dishonored, and are ostracized from whatever communities they were part of. Assuming their kid is dead it was all for nothing.
