For those who thought Chris Herndon might have a breakthrough season this year and were against trading him,
I didn't figure that the Jets would sign Sternberger since it was LaFleur's brother that was involved in waiving/releasing him, and they got the inside story.
Well, the truth hurts sometimes!! Have to say JD did get something for nothing. Lol. But in all honesty he does get good value when he does do trades. Although couple of misses in trading late picks for players. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Didn't both he AND Stephen Hill have two-TD games for us? So, there are probably more busts out there in Jet-land. (Unfortunately)
IMO when one is trading late-round picks for players, more often than not, they are going to be misses. One is either desperate for help at a position or just taking a flyer on a player with talent who hasn't been able to put it together yet.
Yeah the team making the trade is looking for depth. I’d have to say in terms of value this is probably one of the best if not JD’s best trade. A fourth round pick - probably just barely outside the top 100 - for Chris Herndon?? Not too shabby….
Considering the Jets drafted him in the 4th round and he has basically done nothing since his rookie season, I'd say that is a victory.
