I root for Lamar and want to believe his style of play can net the Ravens a Super Bowl but I just don't think he'll ever be able to throw the ball accurately enough to do so. His arm motion and mechanics look different on nearly every throw and he drops his elbow and the ball just sails so badly on him a lot of times.
Not really game related but are the Ravens supposed to live off Ray Lewis forever? He still comes running out and does his signature dance every time they have a big game. In London, on MNF, etc. Dude retired 8 years ago
Valid but I think you can win the whole thing with Jackson. He doesn't have the best weapons or the defense right now. The real concern is how many seasons do you really have with him. Cam was the MVP in 2015-2016 and then fell off very quickly.
Love that quote from Villanueva on playing Left tackle: "the best thing that can happen is nothing happens"
Al Michaels struggled reading that one. Perhaps. Both playoff losses to the Chargers and Bills revealed how to beat him though. Zones all over the place with all eyes on him.
I had no idea he was still doing that. That stupid dance used to annoy me so much. It reminds me of Elaine from Seinfeld.
It was 100% the right call. 4th and 1 is converted a significant majority of the time, and the Ravens are strong up front plus have Jackson to carry it. Whereas if they punted, they'd be giving Mahomes a minute to drive the Chiefs into field goal range, and barring any RB fumbles, he'd probably have done it again.
The pressure that guy puts on a defense he gets to throw to wide open receivers and a lot single coverage making this easier to overcome. I have not seen somebody so hard to tackle since Barry Sanders.
