Also, BB watched our preseason games and week 1 at CAR and easily deduced that Zach looks to C. Davis first and always. BB canceled Marshall Faulk in the Super Bowl. This was relative child's play.
I don't think BB game planning Wilson had much to do with this loss. This was all Wilson making bad throws, simple as that.
His last 2 picks were straight up wtf moments. 1st was a questionable throw. 2nd went right through CD’s hands. I got nothing for the final 2 though. Just an awful performance by Zach. Hopefully he watches the tape and figures it out because if he just plays a decent game today, I think we win easily. We won’t beat anyone this year if he plays like he did today. Simply inexcusable.
We need to see where they stack up per 17 games. Darnold had 15 INTs, it's true, but only played 13 games.
He got positively nightmared v CAR it showed today. He played scared, no question. His inertia was all backward. And it's hard to blame him, frankly. Very hard to put yourself in the kid's shoes. Nevertheless, it's a very dangerous situation moving forward for this young, slightly-built QB and this offense. If he doesn't look markedly more comfortable in the next two games, you have to shut him down, imo. I want to point out, however, that Zach did make some pretty cute escapes, a couple nice runs, and a hell of a tackle. That tackle he made after his third pick bought a lot of emotional investment from this fan.
This wasn't one of these Belichik defensive masterpieces, etc, like when he had Brady and all best players on both sides of the ball took less to sign with them. This was a very beatable team, and Zach quite simply had a terrible game. He plays like he is capable of, and we win this. He lays an egg, and here we are. Belichik's coaching was fine, but not the reason for Zach's woes.
The fact that he was able to make any plays after those first few picks gives me reason to hope but today was not good from Zach. We can blame it on week 1, we can blame it on the OC, we can blame it on Belichick but today was unacceptable, and I think Zach would be the first to tell you that. He has to be better than he was today.

If Belichek took away Corey Davis as a target for Zach 15 other DCs are gonna try to do the same ..book it That said bring in Mims Yeboah and 5 others to make sure Wilson has other options Of course Zach has to follow the plan ?..get Crowder and Cole back too
