Darnold has been threading needles and kicking ass so far for the Panthers. On the bright side for the Jets though the 2 picks haven't been "that" bad and Carter is looking pretty good.
Red zone attempts I would have liked to have seen Davis and Mims line up outside and a high fade thrown, rather than 3 inside runs.
I have McCaffery on my fantasy team but unfortunately Darnold now throws TD passes and makes big 3rd down conversions now that somebody got him an actual coach and at least a little bit of offensive line.
These two teams suck, but we're a lot worse. This is the type of game that makes you feel like we're about 5 good drafts from being a contender.
Yeah... I was kind of worried this would happen. I'm kind of an unhappy jets fan at the moment myself. I guess I'm going to go get some work done and see what happens later. Zach is an expert at watching tape so hopefully he'll get his shit together and sling it in the 2nd half.
Really impressed by the defense and the running game. Hopefully Wilson will show up in the 2nd half and we can get back into this game.
To put it in perspective from someone whose generally more of a dark sider in terms of JD and this roster construction... The offensive line looks better and the roster does not look overmatched against a better coach and roster.
I wouldn't say that Mac Jones looks better than Zach Wilson. He looks better coached than Zach Wilson.
The roster isn't very good but this game today is not because of a talent deficiency. This one is straight up on the QB.
This garbage is reminiscent of the last 2 years with Gase. Also having flashbacks to the game at KC under Bowles where Fitz threw 6 Ints.
Sure would be nice to have a veteran QB to send in and get Wilson out of this game. This game is clearly way beyond him.
