Not sure if you’re being serious or not but I’d imagine its something along the lines of Bill Belichek vs. the Jets rookie QB and coaching staff. History is definitely on NE’s side there. We don’t really beat the Pats these days.
Yes but Beli also has a rookie QB this time. I suspect it will be very tough for Zach AND LaFleur, but it will be tough for Jones too. It may well come down to which QB copes better.
They have a rookie QB with a veteran Oline and stacked running game, a couple of TEs with great hands and an aggressive, deceptive defense. We have a rookie QB with an Oline that was a punchline this week in the press, a group of no-name RBs, average TEs and a defense that at one point let Sam Darnold go through 3 progressions and then return to his origial man and threw a first down. Sam could have ironed a shirt back there. That was with the guy that was backing up Pat Elflein in the game. I'd give an edge to the Jets at WR. That's it. This is a matchup nightmare.
Belichek is gonna take Saleh, his entire staff and Zach to school on Sunday. He may not have Brady anymore, but against a rookie roster he doesn't need the GOAT. I'm not saying all the Pats have to do is roll their helmets on the field, but they shouldn't struggle against these baby jets or their rookie CS.
Pretty much. I'm hoping for a competitive game but I'd settle for a competitive half against the Pats at home. At least make the Pats sweat a lil bit..

Is Damien Harris going to be in Belichick's dog house for this game since he fumbled and cost NE the game last week? We may see a heavy dose of that rookie Stevenson. I watched NE/Miami last week, I expected their line to perform better, maybe it was because Trent Brown left early with an injury. Hopefully he misses this week. McCorkle Jones looks just like a young Brady out there it will make you sick. Dull, unathletic, throws the ball straight into the ground so no one will intercept it
We need to play good defense to have a chance to win this game in the fourth quarter. We can't have any big turnovers and get a turnover or two. If the defense plays like they did in the second half we will have a chance. 17-13 JETS (I like to be optimistic)
It might not have gone as planned by many posters here but it went very much as expected by the vast majority of people with insight into the NFL.
My expectations for last weeks game was tempered because I was visiting the panthers forums and reading about their defense which is pretty good. The main issue has been the conservative tendencies that their OC has when they get ahead... you saw that last week and the game was closer (albeit Sam missed a couple of WR in red zone - so we got lucky ) or the score would have been worse. The other issue their fans complained about was lack of adjustment's,,,, none of this is going to happen with BB and NE. You can bet he is riding his guys hard, scheming for as the one poster pointed out about ZACk's tendency to run right and get ready for all kinds of stunts, zero blitzes, etc. I expect a loss because of BB and voted that way but hopefully I am wrong. We shall see what this CS and players are all about now that the optimism has been replaced with reality.
Excellent point! If you saw this, then LaFleur, Cavanaugh, and Saleh should have seen this, and adjust accordingly. They should have more rollouts this week with half to the left and half to the right. They also need to use Wesco more as a blocker.
We will get to see what this coaching staff is made of this week. Saleh talks a good game... and I realize it takes time & patience to build a good team... but he needs to protect Zach and design an offensive game plan that does that. We were getting mauled with a 4 man rush... Screens, sweeps, 11&12 personnel package, angled/hot routes., roll-outs.. etc. Whatever it takes. If Wilson goes down there's absolutely no reason to watch this team.
I really fear something like this could happen this season, basically when bryce petty got destroyed by Suh and Wake.
