That is a lot of respect to give a rookie QB. Same goes for a new FA signing in Davis. It must speak a lot about how hard both work. I have read that Wilson gets to the Jets complex between 6am and 6 :30 am everyday and does not leave until 9 or 10 pm each night.
While it is awesome seeing Wilson as a team captain, I do not think there really was a choice LOL Wilson is the starting QB on an extremely young team. It is only fitting to vote your starting QB as a captain. Still cool to see
we still have 1 more coming that will be picked by the coaches. it's interesting that 2 players picked were FAs JD signed this year along with our rookie QB.
Interesting that Maye, one of the longest tenured Jet and 2020 team MVP (voted by teammates) is not a captain......
I love this. I just pray God he is injury free and his learning curve is a quick one. This kid will change New York sports scene big time and potentially generate a lot of new Jet fans along the way.
My friend we call "Chicken Little" immediately messaged me because to him its a sign we are not re-signing Maye (oh brother!) Since I always have a cool head I quickly realized that Mosley probably was a captain in '19 and Maye was last year since Mosley was away from the team. Chicken Little ALWAYS over reacts from tweets meant to engage him, and inflame him. He's the perfect customer! (He followed Womanish Mehta) Any other Chicken Littles out there?
How is it possible that a guy that looks and sounds like he's 15 years old be named captain of an NFL team? The visual of him out of pads and the player that I saw between the lines, albeit in preseason, just doesn't connect...
