Well, it's not going to be easy. Going into New England to play the Pats in the playoffs. I have to say I like our chances to have a chance here though. The win we had against them in November help the psychological battle. Mangini knowing the Pats as well as he does helps. If we make no mistakes I think we can win this game.
Could be a bit chancy, if you ask me. We do have a chance, but our chances depend on the chance that all our players turn up and play safe no-chance football, as they have done for the majority of the season (apart from those games where we lost and harmed our chances by being too chancy, and thus made mistakes) Our chances would also be helped if, on the off-chance, that Tom Brady's arm fell off. If this were to happen our chances would improve immeasurably: I'm hoping Eric Barton rips it off at some stage in the first 5 minutes of the game, or at least does enough damage to it to improve our chances. As Sophocles once said: chance never helps those who do not help themselves, and I think we would help our chances by removing Brady's arm, though there are many other areas of the game that we could focus on to improve our chances.
A chance is all you want, and quite honestly unless the coaching staff suddenly changes everything becuase of the playoffs, we have as good chance as anyone in the league. Probaly more so since we know them so well.
The good thing about playing the Pats first is that if we beat them, we can go on and win the whole thing. It will take this little-engine-that-could to be firing on all cylinders with deception and trickery mixed in too. We were very lucky that Chad's rainbow to Cotchery ended with good results the last time. Hopefully this game has same end result. My stomach will be in its usual 3 hour knot next Sunday.
We played them tough both games... I like our chances, I'm excited to see what the CS does facing a team a 3rd time in a season...
Could you really want anything else? How sweeeeeeeet would it be to see Belichicks face when the student becomes the master!!!!ats_suck:
It would be awesome... I just hope that story isn't the entire focus of the week... but I'm sure it will be
It definitely will. And I don't think it's forgotten how Bellichick shook hands w/ Mangini after the last win among the players. I really think they will play hard for Mangini
I agree completely with that. Maroney and Dillon are both good running backs..Also Jets pass rush needs to step up if Brady has time to throw he'll find an open receiver
Got a gut feeling about this game. I think the boys could win. Mainly because the Pats just came off two tough, tough road games against AFC rivals and no one will be picking the Jets. If the Jets go up early they could quiet the crowd and sneak in a victory 17-13. If Pats starts off hot and the boys can't contain Maroney and Dillon it will be a long day at the office. Peace out.
