Explains why he was absent from practice the other day. Although they said groin but I have a feeling it was related to this
I suspected it was an injury or illness keeping him out. I know Moore is the future, but Crowder is very much part of the present.
shit I wonder if it was a groin thing too. seems like an odd lie to make up for saleh who seems like a straight shooter. crowder can't catch a break this year, big pay cut, having a rookie beating him out for a job, possible nagging injuries, and now covid. I feel bad for the dude. he's been nothing but a professional, good teammate, and sadly the best WR he had the past couple of years. Hope he gets healthy in the next 2 weeks and can play opening day. he deserves it. Probably the bets mac FA signing by far
I think maybe he had groin tightness so they used that as a reason until the testing results came back and confirmed he had COVID. No need to spread potential COVID scare if he was negative. I can easily see Saleh spinning it like that until it was confirmed by a test.
i mean he could have said he's being tested for possible covid so he's away until the results come back.
I felt like we were one of the teams that dodged all this last year. Odds were that we wouldn’t be lucky 2 years in a row.
we also led the league in money on IR and covid the past 2 years running and so far doing a 3rd in a row. at some point luck has to break our way.
Hopefully he's doing well. Hate to see this happen to anyone, let alone a really good player and teammate like Crowder. I would imagine that the decision to keep 7 receivers probably stems, at least somewhat, from the Cleveland game last year, where we beat them almost entirely because Mayfield was throwing to guys they'd literally just picked up off the street.
Eh, Mosley opting out isn’t exactly the virus ruining things on a week to week basis like some teams fought through last year.
no, but the list cited didn’t differentiate between when or why. would think the pats were high as well, just because of all the pre season opt outs
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- The New York Jets remain hopeful that wide receiver Jamison Crowder, who tested positive last week for COVID-19, will play in Week 1 against the Carolina Panthers. Crowder has virus-related symptoms, coach Robert Saleh said Monday, but NFL protocols allow him to return to the team before Sunday because he's vaccinated. Once he's asymptomatic for 48 hours, he must have two negative tests 24 hours apart to be eligible. If Crowder had been unvaccinated, he would've been required to sit out a minimum of 10 days, meaning he likely would've missed the opener. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id...s-hopeful-wr-jamison-crowder-able-play-sunday Glad to see he was vaccinated.
