I do not know what OP DWC means. I thought it was interesting how much turnover there has been in two years. I have been a member since before 2002 but that was the year Petrozza had to redo the forum because of software changes. I do not post much because this site has too many immature posters. I much prefer Jets X factor and Turn on the Jets for content.. Being 71 years old I find it tiresome dealing with kids. Many years ago I did meet Cman65 in Las Vegas at Skinny Duggan;s which was the jet bar. Do not know why people are question me because I do not post much/
with the trade of herndon only 10 players remain from mac. however it went back up to 12 with griffin and brown coming back. still pretty impressive roster turnover. not to mention we are top 3 in cap space next off season and have 2 1sts, 2 2nds, a 3rd, and 3 4ths. should be enough to fill in some holes. our defense needs a lot of love. probably an edge but mostly LBers and CBs. we also need to look at RG and RT and TE on offense. JD still has a lot of work. hopefully a few young players emerge as studs this year. Only position I feel good at right now is the left side of the line, WR, and QB
DWC was a poster who had real problems keeping the length of his posts reasonable. He no longer is a part of the TGG community. You are nowhere near that level of PITA VK. Its good to read ya every now and then. BTW, in 2022, I'll be going to work again on my bucket list and a return to Vegas is a possibility. If for no other reason I want to see the new home of the Raiders.
My bad, it's just that whenever I see a long post, I've been conditioned to believe it's from a now banned poster who had a habit of writing lengthy posts.
Turnover is never really a good thing. It's only a good thing when the turnover eventually leads to a stoppage and a turn in strategy to improving top talent retention rate because there is enough talent that needs to be retained. This needs to be the last massive turnover or Douglas is going to be out of a job sooner than later. Tough to blame him on this turnover though given who he took over for.
Hopefully the turnover isn't just for the sake of turnover, but rather to get players that fit the new CS scheme better. I'm sick of the square peg round hole mindset this franchise has had for 10+ years.
I’d be more concerned if there was minimal turnover since he took the job. Obviously the previous GM(s) didn’t get it right and you’re not going to live or die by the personnel decisions that they made regarding players and coaches. You bring your own people in to run things the way you want them run. If the Jets record is bad and the high turnover continues next offseason then I think there’d be cause for concern, but people have to remember that Douglas isn’t just dealing with the bad decisions made by Mac but also by his predecessors. Terrible drafting and even worse free agent acquisitions will set a franchise back years…
