Always thought we should have drafted him instead of Calvin Pryor...

I don't want Cam but please let's not call him an "anti-vaxer"... he's had covid, his antibodies, T-cells etc. are way better then what you get from any of the vaccines. Nothing against you as you're likely just repeating what others have said but it's stupidity to claim anyone that had covid is anti-vax.. It's a hoax put up by the inept health officials to force everyone to get a vaccine when its not needed for those who had covid.

Cole Beasley... now there is a moron anti-vaxer, not Cam.

    This.

New study out of Israel this week said unvaccinated folks who had developed natural covid immunity (pervious exposure) are 8 times LESS LIKELY to be hospitalized with Delta variant than folks who are fully vaccinated (Phizer). EIGHT TIMES LESS LIKELY.

Cam Newton is better protected than ALL of his piers who got vaccinated to avoid getting covid. AND, he never injected modified viral RNA into his body.

What did that study say about the unvaccinated who got covid and died? What was their likelihood of being hospitalized with the delta variant?

True, of course. But saying 'unvaccinated are 5 times blah blah blah' without differentiating between unvaxxed versus unvaxxed and who have developed natural immunity is kinda unfair, no? It's an established fact that folks who contracted covid have a significantly higher immunity to future coved, including Delta, than folks who got fully vaxxed.

Back to the topic at hand...

Main targets I hope the Jets can pull off here in about an hour would be:

    Jacob Hollister
    Ben Mason
    Jimmy Moreland

I'm NOT an anti-vaxxer, in fact put a pro-vax info page on the top of this forum. I've been dbl vaxxed (phiser). My mom is 85 with health issues and I wasn't going to risk it with her.

But now that our elderly and vulnerable folks have had ample time to get their own vax, it's not necessarily fair to demand healthy young ppl also get the jab, when NOT getting the jab and recovering from covid is 8 times better for their long term health, especially against variants, which our vaccines appear to provide marginal protection from.

    Yea so football...

Get Hollister or Tanner Hudson. I'd assume they like both of those guys considering we have the 2nd waiver priority they felt good enough to ditch most of the TEs on the roster.

We need to stay focused on our football team. Enough with the vaccine pro and con argument.
Believe it or not. There is more variability and opinions in the data for the vaccine than there is for the NY Jets final 53 man roster. .
Does anyone one know when the PS can be formed?

Waiver period ends 4pm today so after that I think teams can sign anyone and put them on PS

A lot of good players sitting on the waiver wire right now.

Have to think our first move is TE.

I think a trade for Ertz or Njoku is definitely on the table also.

Would also LOVE signing McKinney but I don't think he will last if we take a TE first

I don't think waivers work like that in the NFL. If a team has second waiver priority, they have second waiver priority on every player regardless of how many players they try to claim. So basically any player we want we will get unless Jacksonville also wants them.

That’s right. We will get every request we want that Jacksonville doesn’t take.

Oh that's right! You are 100% accurate.

    I was thinking draft.

With that said, I would definitely have a request in for McKinney. I feel like that's a no-brainer

Which is why I wouldn't be shocked if we go with two TEs on the waiver wire.

Another vote for Njoku from me, more so than Ertz, at least we could have him for 3 years or so.
