I had been posting these tweets in the "Roster Moves" thread but thought it might be a good idea to put them into a separate thread so we don't clog that one up. Post any notable cuts that you would like the Jets to try and snag on the waiver wire!
Wow!! Not sure if the Jets should or would want to bring him in as a back up but this one is shocking!
I want Cam Newton as a backup. If anything happens to Zach Wilson, we need a veteran backup. And Cam Newton is not only a former MVP but our offense at WR is 10x better than what NEs was last year.
hell yeah bring him in. I was hoping Foles would be cut but Newton is even better, Make him starter. Week 1 against Carolina, week 2 NE. that would be bad ass haha
Cam has been awful for two years and his anti vax routine makes him a liability. Stay far far far away.
I truthfully don't want Newton, at all. I do not think he brings any value to the table for Wilson's development. I would be much happier with Foles. I think Cam could present as too much drama for a young guy like Wilson and this entire roster.
The Bills also cut Forrest Lamp, OG. Any interest here? Other names of possible interest at this point are Bernadrick McKinney (LB), Matt Skura (C), DaVontae Harris (CB), Michael Schofield (OG), and Rasul Douglas (CB).
Hes kinda burned out since his first few years hasn’t he? I could be thinking of someone else. We should go with Hollister for sure. No brainer.
Sorry but my tertiary priority is a back up QB at this point. First and foremost continue to strengthen the depth of the OL, improve our pass rush edge situation if possible, add depth at LB and CB. If we don't do the OL first then Wilson is at risk, at which point the back up will be equally challenged no matter who we get.
I'd pick up Benkert in a minute over what we had at backup this summer. Also take a swipe at Hollister. F Cam Newton, that guy is possibly the biggest douchebag in the NFL.
I don't know but at the start of training camp Saleh said 81 of 90 were vaccinated. I am guessing Zach got vaccinated after that as he is no longer wearing masks for indoor press conferences as required for unvaccinated. I don't know the number but I bet it is close to 100 percent.
Zach Wilson has been vaccinated for a while now because if not? He would've never been allowed to enter Madison Square Garden for our Knicks playoff games to begin with. This Covid shit stinks man can't even sign an awesome QB as a backup because of it these days.
He was placed on injured reserve on the 23rd of August and then released, in every season bar 2020 he has had a season-ending injury, in 2018 he couldn't beat out Feeney lol other than that sign the kid up
The knicks did not require vaccinations for that playoff series. They only required it for the next round which never happened but they announced it as a new requirement for round 2. At the end of OTAs he was asked if he was vaccinated and said he would not answer the question. He showed up to training camp wearing a mask at indoor PC but then a few days later he stopped wearing masks but those were all outdoor but eventually he did an indoor with no mask. Which is why I am speculating he got vaccinated after arriving at camp.
