Somebody was on the NFL network last week who said he'd do the first half and maybe a bit of the third quarter for a total of five or six quarters for the preseason based on what Saleh had said at a press conference before going to Green Bay.
Not sure what protocols teams are using for the 3 preseason games. The third game was always the one starters played in the longest and the last game was when they had all the bubble players frantically trying to make plays so they don't get cut. This is both. Hopefully the Jets aren't playing this wrong.
First time back in the stadium since 2019. Excited for it all. Seeing the Jets play live again and the tailgaiting. I really am looking forward to the home opener this year. Place will be going nuts especially if they beat Carolina.
I think the answer lies in the fact that the fourth game is plucked out of the calendar, but the schedule isn't compressed. That "fourth game" weekend before opening day still exists, so I think teams will want to maintain their same approach for game three (i.e., getting main contributors fully up to speed). Then they'll still have that fourth weekend for final roster decisions.
I would like to agree with you, but he's going to be without 3 starting OL. As enjoyable as he is to watch, I would rather him not play.
He's gonna get hit hard sooner or later. Better we find out if he can take a hit now before the season begins.

No worries. That still will not stop many from drawing conclusions about certain players and the upcoming season.
I was looking forward to seeing us play an opponent that we could start drawing more solid evaluations from. I guess that's put off until week 1.
Can only play against whoever the other team puts out there. I don't understand why so many posts about this as if the Jets coaching staff is doing something wrong. May not be able to give a full evaluation of Jet players based upon their performance but I would rather the starters get some time especially with such a young team.
After 21 freaking months I am back at Metlife. Fuck Covid for 2 reasons. 1) A lot of innocent people died. My condolences to everyone who lost a loved one to Covid. 2) Due to Covid I couldn’t watch Jets live at Metlife! My first chance was against Giants 2 weeks ago but I was hospitalized due to Covid and was in quarantine. Now, after 21 months and after surviving this Covid shit I am going to watch my Jets live at Metlife. Sucks that Eagles won’t play starters but at least I get to watch Wilson live for the first time.
