Been a while since anyone posted here which is surprising with how bad some of our posters butcher the English language.

There is a discussion on anti-white sediment in the politics forum. I think that post will sink to the bottom though.

And in the Jets 2021 Roster thread a poster deigns to tell us about being a "perineal" contender. Taint what he thinks that means.

I'd like to think that's made up. I'm betting it isn't. Speaking of the word like, which I used correctly . . .

I often play the "like" game. Anyone who knows me knows how much I detest that filler word. I listen randomly in public places and count them. It's amazing. Maggie Gray and Chris Simms are borderline unlistenable to me because of it to give off the cuff broadcasting examples.

That word really has to go. I'll give you five bucks if you can make it happen. It's even all over commercials because they think I'm going to buy something just because they used the fucking word like. Like, die, Capital One Guy.

    Thnx you man

This one, I think, is so much worse than the others in this thread. When you should know the correct spelling of something yet change it because I am guessing you think you sound cool doing it.

Seriously, "thank" is 5 letters and you can't just spell that out, instead spelling it wrong to save one letter. But what is more, if you sound it out it comes out "thanks you man", making your mongoloid like post even worse.

Luckily this poster will likely be gone by about the 2nd game of the regular season, maybe sooner but I think he will have the ban hammer come down by then. He'll claim, like he did the last time I called out his impending melt down, that it won't happen. Well he was gone 2 days after I called it.

I was trying to decide if this belonged here or the Remember the Retards thread but he isn't gone yet and one or more of his 10 other names on this board are probably already in there.

I have to say, given the strange nature of some sayings from across the pond, I'm literally gobsmacked about some of the bits and bobs of complaints about American English. All I can say is, don't get in a strop about it!

Quite, which is, I think, the point of the piece. Using the wrong word 'could' instead of 'couldn't' is the issue here.

Sayings across the world are weird. A number in French are about wolves, and not just 'keep the wild from the door'. Hopefully a Francophone will be able to share a few (my French is extremely limited).
