I knew nothing about Josh Allen the week of the draft I wanted Sam but when I watched Josh’s tape I realized he was the better choice and Sam had some troubling attributes.

he was real slow holding onto the ball but the arm was second to none and obviously he’s learned to play at NFL speed and get through progressions. Still he plays with a stacked roster.

Zach looked a lot more NFL ready. Is the arm AS strong? No. But he’s still probably in the top 15% and his release is so quick that’ll negate much of the zip deficiency you’re going hard on. Is it really even a deficiency if 3 guys only are better?

I make the practice troubles more about losing Knapp than anything. It could really hold him back, or he could get through it. We’ll learn a lot in a couple days.

He has plenty of arm to be a quality NFL quarterback. He does not have an elite arm as I see it. Not to mention arm talent encompasses a lot more than just throwing the ball far. Most guys in the NFL can throw it far. Can they throw frozen ropes to the chunk play yardage marks of 15-25 yards is the larger question. And I never said it's a deficiency.

I'm excited to see him in preseason. It'll tell us a lot more about his arm. I find it tough to judge rookie quarterbacks on decision making and what not. They're going to make some head scratching decisions. Not to mention, while it's not talked about a lot because it's not a huge difference, but the NFL ball is slightly larger.

He's also taking an extra half step up in competition and game speed. The game speed at the G5 level is just not the same at the P5 level. There's a reason there are maybe 4-5 G5 starting NFL quarterbacks and the rest come from the big 5.

I mean this is a really wild take. I have no idea who even thinks that but to say everyone’s saying that is bizarre especially if they’re actually saying it.

he’s going to be a star, or a decent gunslinger or a flop. But he’s definitely not going to be a game manager. Kid is always pressing downfield.

I don’t want to get in a big semantics argument when we’re all about to see him go for real so soon. Let’s just see how the kid looks and then go at it after when we’re all reading from the same Bible. That’ll be more fun.

Not all head scratching decisions are created equal in my book. For example, I don’t care how young you are, you can’t make this throw.

Well if you didn't disappear for the whole off-season you could've joined the mayhem.

He's also a third year player with now a ton of experienced targets around him. I'd rather see Wilson go out and gunsling himself into bad interceptions than play scared for three quarters of every game like Darnold did last year and air mail a bunch of bad picks at the end of games.

There would be much less arguments on this board if we simply debated what’s said and not fabricated. I SPECIFICALLY SAID:

Do you not agree that by replacing “some” with “everyone” it changes a pretty mundane take to a very controversial one?

I’m not going to question your reading comprehension as I know from your posting history it’s fine. So I’m left with questioning your motives. Is this purposeful or just an oversight?

There’s gunslinging trying to make a play and there’s that DJ clip which I would classify as WTF. There’s a distinction in my book. I excuse the former but not the latter.

Never said they ever reported false information. I said they either omit certain details or twist their reports, both of which you can do without reporting false information.

That's very easy to say, but impossible to substantiate without quotes or other examples. For now all we have is an opinion.

I thought you had another post that said everyone is saying it or that’s the consensus but didn’t care enough to find that one to quote. Either way if they’re saying it you’re not culpable for that even though you did kind of give a vibe like you weren’t disagreeing.

been very busy plus I didn’t want to get into the poo slinging since I’m a believer in this kid and I’ve liked a lot of the guys that came out to be good in recent years even though I was off of the board because the team was so pathetic. Like I said wanted Josh Allen and I liked others too.

definitely going to be around starting now and get back into the community it’s a lot of fun when there’s a team to talk about.

I didn’t say any of that; I said what you quoted. I don’t believe Zach will have success playing in the NFL the way he played at BYU. At my own peril, I expressed this profusively pre-draft. If that’s what is giving you the agreement vibes, then I guess so. Best case I’m wrong and we have Mahomes/Rodgers in our hands. A not ideal scenario would be the one you reference where he’s gunslinger going down in flames. The absolute worst case for me is that he’s a game manager. I don’t wish the latter scenario on even my most ravid FAN-emy on TGG. That would suck ass IMO.

they might start him on a tight leash to not blast his confidence but that’s just not who he is.

I think worst case is he’s an average gunslinger that strings us along for a few years. That’s the real worst case scenario

I see this as a legitimate question. A bit dramatic perhaps but no less legitimate.
