Coles is my favorite receiver from the last 25 years and behind only toon for all time. Was a huge fan of his from FSU. Thought he got hung out to dry while Bobby b protected Peter warrick . Was happy he landed with us and had a good career. He was such a tough receiver.
Kevin Mawae is # 1 Allen Faneca is # 2 Darrelle Revis is # 3 Nick Mangold is # 4 Next Tier John Abraham Mo Lewis Curtis Martin D'Brickshaw Fergeson Sean Ellis Vinny Testaverde Keyshawn Johnson Antonio Cromartie Richie Anderson Laverneus Coles
Straight from the heart of Jets I loved from the past 25 years in no particular order. Sean Ellis (He sacked Brady to end the game in Foxborough 2006 ending years of misery)I don’t think I will ever forget that play. Curtis Martin Wayne Chrebet Chad “I wish you would have stayed healthy” Pennington There are others of course that are more flashy. Revis Mangold Brick Crotchety Ect But those are my personal choices.
The first player that popped into my mind was Wesley Walker. All 13 years as a Jet. Averaged over 20 YPC for 8 of them, including leading the league in YPC twice, a couple of probowls, 74 TDs.
Very clever, but to me, you need to be a 1st round pick to be a bust. 2nd round picks are disappointments yes, but not busts. But fear not, you can choose as replacements any of the following: Quinton Coples, Kyle Wilson, Calvin Pryor, Darron Lee.
1.) Curtis Martin. 2.) Darrelle Revis. 3.) Nick Mangold. 4.) D'Brickishaw Ferguson. (Wayne Chrebet and Kevin Mawae as honorable mentions).
There are so few Jets in the Hall of Fame that I am claiming Faneca on the part of Jets fans everywhere.
i agree with this. i think id probably put mangold over ferguson but its a tough call. keyshawn, aaron glenn, victor green are some other guys that could be mentioned. adrian murrell, mo lewis. just to name a few from the 96, 97 seasons who alot of people may have forgotten about.
Players only? Because Parcells shaped the three years he was year and the next eight years as well, leading up to Rex, who also has to be considered as a major influence on the franchise. With three championship game appearances and 7 play-off appearances, for better or worse, 1997-2010 was the Golden Age of Jet football
