Take care of yourself and I hope you keep it to yourself and you and yours are among those who remain asymptomatic. Please let us know when you are feeling well enough to return to your position as the target of bad jokes here.
Brook! got his jabs so hopefully just a mild case. At any rate Brook! godspeed in getting it out of your body. I have a buddy who is not vaccinated and got Covid last month. He recovered without any major down time. The weird thing about Covid is how differently it effects people.
Very sad to hear this but since he's vaxxed I don't think it will be much. Sending good vibes his way
This is terrible news I’m very sorry to hear this… brooks I’m praying for a speedy recovery Godspeed God bless
Just heal up Brook and get ready for the season! Fresh batteries for the remote and a nice new beer cooler should be on your to do list!
Good luck Brooke. Covid is no joke. I had a friend who was vaccinated and got it around 3 months ago and she said it was the worst she ever felt for 3 weeks. She is still suffering the after effects now 3 months later. I hope it goes better with you and you feel better soon. We have a whole new era of Jets games to watch. Keep us informed as to how you are doing.
Thanks guys. Appreciate the kind words. I got Diabetes, I got Liver Disease. Now I got Covid. If this thing doesn't kill me, nothing will. Wife and kids in Turkey. Last night I had difficulty breathing. If same happens tonight I am heading to emergency room. No plan to mess with this thing. This thing is true shit. All my muscles are aching. My joints ache. Diarrhea since yesterday. Can't sleep. Let's hope this is the worst of it and days ahead are better.
I didn't know there was a thread to this since I sent Brook a message. But GET WELL SOON AND KICK COVID'S ASS!
I will be in a mask until this next wave of Covid passes. I believe in the science, not the bullshit.
This is going to sound really strange but it's an anatomical fact. If you are having severe trouble sleeping lying down due to heavy chest congestion try sleeping sitting up in a comfortable chair with support. This is not a permanent answer to the problem but it can help keep congestion down to the point that you can sleep at nights. I had walking pneumonia in back to back winters in 1994 and 1995. I'd breathe ok but not great all day at work and as I was running around and then at night I'd basically feel like I was suffocating when I was trying to sleep lying down. The answer for me both years as the antibiotics spent weeks cleaning my lungs out was to sleep sitting up on my sofa with a bunch of cushions propped up beside me to keep me upright. This worked well enough to let me get to sleep and avoid the ER. You may well be better off in the ER however if you are not there tonight try the sleeping comfy sitting up plan and see if it helps. Hope you feel better. Nothing is worse than fighting for breath.
Thanks Brad. That's what I did last night. I didn't know I had Covid last night so I said maybe it is because I sleep naked under AC all the time. That said, woke up at 2 am last night and couldn't sleep due to breath issue and then ended up sitting on recliner and tried to fall asleep. It worked just like you said. During the day I had a cortizon shot. I was better but now my body is breaking down again and cough is coming back. I might just head to ER. Fuck it. If I end up not being able to breathe midnight, I am heading to ER.
