I totally concur with your views on MIms. I would add that, IMO, too many here are assuming that LaFlour will only leverage those WR that are good in a phone booth and get good separation over everything else. That is incorrect, he wants first and foremost proper or excellent rout running, and along with separation for the mid range, he will need the big guy that can dominate in the 50/50 contested catches particularly down field. We are not going to be a one scheme fits all team, particularly when you fall behind by a couple of scores, and Mims is the best on contested and field opening catches. We have exactly the mix that can cover all the situations. What Mims need to do is continue to improve his route running and keep the secondary on their toes.

The "D" will always be ahead of the "O" - it's easier to break up a play than make one work.

I thought they weren’t supposed to be wearing pads yet.

Zack put the ball in the air a split second before Davis made is out-cut. That's good chemistry and knowing where your WR is going to be!

Zach Wilson struggled yesterday and then responded by lighting it up today (signs of a kid QB who's mentally tough).

Sorry, I disagree. With his long arms, catch radius, and ability with 50-50 balls, when coupled with Zach's pinpoint accuracy, how can you dispute it? Zach can throw it backshoulder or up high and let Mims go get it. Zach can fit it into very tight windows, too.

You really take Madden ratings seriously???

The folks at EA don't know how to scout players.

You really think I want to see this guy fail? He's got insane physical attributes and he's having trouble standing out against a Patriots-style Chrebet clone, those guys make it because of effort and discipline and end up out-working guys that are making it on physical ability alone, although they may not always win the job (Woodhead/McKnight).

If I start hearing some good stuff about him in camp or he just explodes on the scene when the season starts then I'll be all over it rooting for him but I'm not rooting for a ghost of performances at Baylor. Yes, he flashed occasionally for us last season and if he can get it together for us with consistency then we're golden, but he needs to do it first. You have intimated that he is big enough to overcome being covered, but we have a rookie QB and the first thing a rookie QB is taught is to throw to the open man. That's why separation is so important at this stage.

Right now he appears to be shaping up to be a situational depth receiver while an undersized rookie who most had pegged as a slot receiver is making serious noise and could end up starting sooner rather than later.

By the way, you seem to go from worshiping the FO and CS to trashing them mercilessly depending on where they fall on your personal compass of football activity which is your every right as a football fan on a message board, but it's difficult to take the opinions of someone like that seriously. There doesn't seem to be an in between with you.

Yeah, they are not to be taken seriously and were posted mostly as a joke. AVT has the same rating as both Mims and Berrios as well as Cashman. One of these things is not like the other ones, one of these things is not the same.

If Mims starts falling down the depth chart, then the early returns on the 2020 draft class is not good at all. Mims, Davis, Zuniga,……Morgan is a ?……and so is Clark.

As long as Mekhi Becton becomes a Franchise LT (which he already is) and protects Zach Wilson's blind side for the next 10+ years, 2020's draft class becomes an instant A+.

Of course not. Just thought it was strange they rated a top half of the 1st Round OL below a WR and RB drafted in the 2nd and 4th respectively.
