Vinny Testaverde just threw a touchdown pass with about 1:45 remaining in a game that the Patriots were winning 33-23. Discuss.
Vinny played today for the Pats Looks like Belichicken got him in during garbage time...probably his last season but we thought that was last year. He went 2/3 29 yards, 1 td god damn it. This just isn't right!
Well, at least he set an NFL record for consecutive seasons with a passing TD. I can't remember last year whether he tied it or broke it, so this year he either broke it or extended it. Either way, congratulations to VT.
I was watching some of this game when the Raiders-Jets game went to commercials. Early in the game Bobby Wade was tackled. While he was pinned to the turf, Rodney Harrison gave him an extra hard push. The next play, Wade chop blocked Harrison and knocked the cheap shot artist out of the game. I guess Belichick ran up the score in retaliation.
Actually as much as I HATE Belichick he does have respect for history of the game. Vinny's TD was just to add to his record. Good for Vinny! BUt I hope we get the Pats in Round 1
There was bad blood in this game and Belichick was rubbing it in. Nobody really cares about that record. If this was a college game, I wouldn't have a problem with the late score. But this stuff does not need to take place in NFL games. (Note: There are tiebreakers way down the tiebreaker list that do involve points scored, but that wasn't going to be necessary with the Patriots seeding.)
