Adam Schefter on Twitter: "Free-agent CB Richard Sherman was booked at 6:08 this am at the Seattle Correctional Facility for “Burglary Domestic Violence”, per King County public records. Sherman also was denied bail." / Twitter
nice newsbreak on the board, @GREG I just came across it and was going to post it, haha. beat me by over an hour. well-done.
what a shocker. i always thought he was such a great, brilliant, enlightened, courageous, admirable, totally misunderstood guy bc the nation's sports media told me he was. Paging Michael Wilbon and friends, lol.
Hmmm... Seems more like he assaulted police than his family? Idunno. She also knows where all the bread comes from.
So tell me if this sounds right - Sherman gets stupid wasted and hits someone driving home. Gets locked out of the house and tries breaking in triggering an alarm. Gets into a belligerent argument with police and starts throwing fists claiming it's his house. Things get violent and he gets charged.
I wonder if this is it for Sherman as an NFL player; you only really get a second chance if your skills are still there (Antonio Brown vs. Ray Rice), and I'm not sure if Sherman's are.
actually, no, it doesn't sound right. u left out the parts where he threatened to hang himself, where he was aggressive AND physical toward his wife AND toward the police, per Ari Meirov's link of the 911 call above, but nice attempt at spin on behalf of Dick Sherman. I am sure Wilbon and all of Dick's fans in the sports media would be proud of you.
oh and it wasn't his house, it was his in-laws house, but like I said, nice attempt at spin for lil' Dicky Sherman. Free-agent cornerback Richard Sherman is facing several charges, including one on suspicion of burglary domestic violence, after he was arrested at his wife's parents' residence in Redmond, Washington, early Wednesday. Redmond Police Department Chief Darrell Lowe said at a news conference Wednesday that Sherman also faces charges on suspicion of resisting arrest and malicious mischief. In addition, Washington State Patrol Capt. Ron Mead said at the news conference that his department is also ready to refer Sherman to prosecutors for possible misdemeanor DUI and hit-and-run charges related to a separate incident Wednesday. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id...arrested-domestic-violence-charge-denied-bail
