My concern for Zack is playing under pressure (constant). That's what ruined Sam. It's what ruined Mahomes a few months ago. In the thread on the Colts O-line, they said the Colts had nearly the best Oline in the league and gave up like 93 pressures and 22 sacks. That's the BEST Oline. While our line has improved (maybe) we've had the worse line in the game for the last 3 years. Even big improvements will still hit Zack with 100+ pressures and 30-40+ sacks. First, I'm not sure if he can take the pounding, even if it's less than what Sam took. Second, there's not too many QBs who accel under pressure (NFL pressure). His quick release plus Crowder/Moore will certainly help.
I'm not worried at all. He gets the ball out quickly, and his blind side is well protected. He also has quick feet and is mobile and can elude rushers. I think the concerns are overblown.
If Zach gets sacked 30 times, it’ll be bottom 10 in the league and a huge failure for the OL. I also don’t want my new toy to get scratched but Zach is far from the smallest QB in the NFL. Wilson - 46 sacks Bridgewater - 31 sacks Mayfield - 26 sacks Murray - 26 sacks
