Much needed signing for Zack's rookie season. Moses was probably like, "I wonder what they are saying on the Jets boards?" (Sees thread with his name and reads 2 pages about people's favorite soft drinks.) "What a chill fanbase, Sounds like my kinda place." Agrees to contract - comes back to read rest of thread. "You know, lets make that a one year deal."
Looking at the offensive depth chart the NY Jets offense is solid and only lacking a RG. This just amazes me. I love our WRs, our OL looks much better, I like our RBs, and people are raving about our rookie QB. How did we get this Jet offense after what we have had the last decade. I am amazed. Did i drink too much green kool aid?
If the Jets don't win, I don't think it will be because of a lack of talent. It will be because Saleh and LaFleur aren't the coaches they were cracked up to be. IMO we have found the GM that we've been looking for for a LONG time!!
What's not to like? Improves the OL, not only with a quality starter but also with increased flexibility. Which improves the protection for Zach and improves the running game. Proves that Douglas is committed to rectifying the mistakes of years of GMs neglecting the OL. And it's a 1 year deal so no huge investment if he doesn't work out. This is the most optimistic I've been about the Jets in decades.
The new OC as compared to Gases system should make some players look better as well. RG, TE, RB and depth still an issue but it’s been a massive improvement from last years disaster from both a talent and coaching standpoint. going in a good direction.
Feeling a little better about my Michael Carter +3300 after this signing. Everything is started upfront. Huge signing and super happy with what JD has done to that OL over the last 2 years. LETS GO!
the best part is, we basically got him for free. the money we saved from giving crowder a paycut paid for an above average starting RT.
His ankles seem shot but if he was healthy I'd go for it. RG is still pretty weak but the other 4 starting positions on the o-line are the strongest they've been in a long time. we should have on paper a top 10 o-line
Ok. I'll give it to you. You did an "awesome job" (sarcastic) of talking up and supporting the idea of signing Morgan Moses. Too bad you had to suck off George Fant while doing so. Don't believe me? See for yourself (below). But yet you'll post Moses rookie PFF score of 54.4 despite only 1 Rookie start? I thought only a blithering idiot would ever do, such a thing? Hypocrite, much? So much fail where I wouldn't even know where to start from? You just couldn't stomach the thought of me mentioning to TGG that... A.) Morgan Moses ranked top 20 amongst all NFL OTs last year and 7th in run blocking. And... B.) George Fant ranked 64th amongst all starting OTs 64/64 (dead last) and now 29 years old come July and absolutely stinks. So therefore... C.) You talked up Fant like no tomorrow all while both JD and myself couldn't disagree with you any more. Enjoy watching Fant from the bench.
I certainly take all the moves with a grain of salt, so to speak. But I’m also optimistic and impressed with how things have played out this offseason. Basically, hopeful but I understand having reservations.
On Moses, I love a guy betting on himself though. That’s rare a guy takes less to win prove it. Awesome.
