Please remember those that served today. The ones who came through it alive, those that still serve, and those that didn’t make it. Thank you for your service
Dedicated to my wife's cousin Joe, aged 97 and still living. Enlisted at age 19. Flew 37 missions as a B-17 radio operator/gunner. After D-Day, assigned to repair radios on fighter planes as the bases moved East toward Germany. Just before war ended, got hit with shrapnel (not serious) from a German 88mm shell. Was recovering in hospital when war ended. Refused Purple Heart (as many GIs did) because he thought it would be harder for him to find work if employers thought he was disabled. Crazy, right?
^^^^hmmm...just about everybody on tiktok, and IG and facebook and twitter and reddit, etc. etc. etc., but I digress.... thank you to all veterans for their courage and service, esp those veterans we can thank personally here on TGG who read through this thread!!! They are all heroes, esp those how made the ultimate sacrifice! God Bless!!!
