It was an awful pick. I'm not defending it but I'm saying the body of work as a whole outweighs any single decision. It's not like singular second round picks cripple franchises. Not good ones at least which I guess we're not.
2nd round picks are incredibly valuable. How any professional NFL GM could have used one on Christian Hackenberg is beyond me.
Gase was definitely the worst. But Callaway isn’t too far behind. Mets fans were told he was a good driver. He was given the keys to well running car, busted an axle, got into some crashes, and got a sexual harassment suit. Not great. Comparatively, Gase wouldn’t know the difference. Didn’t matter whether it was a corvette or caravan, he’d had crashed it. (One if the reasons why it was smart, albeit painful, for JD to withhold spending on the 20/21 season.) Either way, glad neither are in New York.
I see some sourpuss with an itchy finger couldn't control themselves and just HAD to vote for Todd Bowles. No way Bowles was worse than Gase, c'mon. Even Lou Holtz, who quit, wasn't worse than Gase.
LOL, Gase almost literally was Peyton's coffee boy. https://www.audacy.com/wfan/sports/jets/manning-used-to-call-out-gase-during-meetings-ex-bronco?utm_campaign=www.audacy.com%2Fwfan&utm_content=1621551098&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter&utm_term=WFAN-AM&fbclid=IwAR28xnzn9HLQb-TbbtLqyQ0b_XrY4RDsB1jPF72L9mKieToa8rhLSYBEcTc
