Why start a new thread? This could have gone in the UDFA thread with the other posts regarding Yeboah.
His go-to TD celebration seems to be a firm handshake. I don't think I've ever seen that before. Seems like a guy you'd want to root for.
there is no thread for him. there is an UDFA thread I could have put it in and mods can move it if they want, but not like he has a thread like our draft picks
This kid is incredibly talented and was graded by many as a 3rd-4th round talent. Shocked he went undrafted and even more shocked we were able to snag him! Could be a nice compliment to Chris Herndon and hopefully a nice kick in the ass after last year.
I no there is no thread for him, but imo UDFAs don't need their own separate thread. Important info is still coming out about the players we drafted, and they have dropped to pages 3 and 4 because of the other threads like this that have been created that won't get many responses, and people can't see the most important threads unless they searching for them.
i have no issues if brook wants to merge it. if important info comes out for another player it'll get bumped up
Because this guy should have been drafted in the third round. If he is given opportunity should easily beat out Ryan Wesco and Brown actually will be a legitimate weapon. Trying to figure out why this guy went undrafted. Not a great blocker but he is really good Recieving TE. Think he will be dangerous TE if he gets his blocking better Herdon will be a goner.
Honestly this guy should have been drafted. Not much of a blocker, but he can catch everything. Hoping we keep him. I think I he could easily beat most of our TE's. If he stays healthy that one up on them already.
He's not that bad a blocker. He needs some work on his technique, but he tries hard and gives effort.
Oh I'm not saying he can't get better. I'm just saying he's not good currently. He needs to be coached. I do think if he can stay healthy he has the ability to be a way better player than all our TE's. Herndon better get it together. He showed a lot of promise his rookie season but hasn't been able to do anything since. It's time to step up. All the rest of out TE room are either old, mediocre, or both.
I know, but I think saying that he's not good currently is inaccurate. I disagree with that notion. I think he's already pretty good.
Eh, of course I get the whole blocking thing, but Anthony Becht and Kyle Brady, good blockers, but not much else. I would love to have someone whose consistent bright spot is GREAT HANDS and let someone else pick up the blocking slack if necessary. I think part of the problem is the perception that everyone has to be Superman. A lunch pail guy who does one thing right almost all the time can make you when games. Other side of the ball, but the same exact sentiment: it's gotten to the point where if a guy wraps up and makes a nice, clean, old school tackle I go, "Wow, would you look at that?!" Anyway, I think we're pretty much saying the same thing. EDIT: Win, not when.
NOTHING wrong with wanting an excellent receiver at TE as we all know that this is one of the biggest changes to the position in the last 20-25 years in the NFL. Jets seemed to miss out on that particular memo...
Maybe now that we have a better than decent GM, a HC who seems like he actually knows about football, and a few other coaching staff additions who don't appear to have pea brains, even if it's an office gopher, I'm thinking at least one or two people get the memo . . . ? Or any memo? OK, I'm getting overly excited. Or maybe not.
