I hope Fields stinks or at best is a notch below Wilson. I find no joy in the QB I want us to draft with our top pick balling out for another team. I don’t root for Mahomes or Allen. I only root for the Jets. Though, I might make an exception this year for the Panthers. I wasn’t a Sam fan as our QB but for some strange reason I’m hoping he does well in Carolina.
Gase’s rep is already is already in the dumps. I just like Sam handled himself here off the field despite being held a terrible hand. He took responsibility. He kept his head down and didn’t bitch and moan. As maddening as the footwork, poor decisions and inaccurate throws were on the field, how Sam carried himself was admirable. He’s the anti-Jamal Adams. I can root for that.
I always root for them to win - even this past season when most were rooting for "Tank For Trevor". Maybe it's superstition, but I think if you root for your team to lose, you might get more than you wish for. As for the Arch Manning Sweepstakes, if Wilson doesn't play like I think he will, we can cross that bridge if we get to it.
