1) Zach Wilson vs TBD-This one is obvious. I think they have a veteran in mind that they will bring in as legit competition 2) Cornerback-A bunch of late round draft picks and UDFAs battling it out 3) Denzel Mims vs Keelan Cole-Don’t think Denzels starting spot is guaranteed. The Jets like Keelan Cole 4) Tight End-Not sure if this will be a big part of the offense, but the options don’t look great if Chris Herndon plays like he did last year 5) Right Guard-GVR, Dan Feeney, Alex Lewis?
I totally disagree with #3. Yes, the Jets like Cole, but there is absolutely NO reason why Mims should lose his starting spot TE is a big part of this offense. If it's not it's either due to the fact that the Jets don't have a TE capable of meeting the needs of this offense, or they have made the decision to alter the offense because we don't have a reliable TE who is capable of meeting the needs of the offense. RG - Cam Clark is going to be part of that competition
Could you just not have posted this in penny's thread with the identical premise of player spot battles.

WR - moore crowder cole for slot snaps CB - giant group of question marks RG GVR lewis feeny and clark battle for the job.
Cole is insurance and likely taking all returning duties. Crowder should and will get slot duties. But Moore will be the 4th WR as a do-all type WR who lines up in various spots. RB battle is going to be tough. I feel Ty Johnson May have the slight advantage but Carter (liken him to Ekeler) depending on camp has all the tools to at least be the 3rd down back and eventual starter down the road. Adams, Coleman and Perine will all fight for carries. Def a RB by committee. Coleman is pure insurance right now. CB is another battle. It speaks a lot that the Jets haven’t decided to bring in any vets. Either they like the youth here and/or feel Hall and Bless are worthy of fitting well in this scheme. I’m sure Hall will be fine but there’s questions about Bless. Guidry was having a damn good batch of games before he got hurt, he’s likely slated to be in the slot. TE- Herndon, time to bring it. He actually played decent in the last 2-3 games IIRC but the brass seemingly feels confident he can be something. Yeboah has potential to unseat Herndon in due time, the vets in camp are just in case...
If Greg Van Rotten gets cut, that’s a very positive sign for the OL Certainly don’t want to see him starting anymore He almost got Sam killed several times, just can’t take that kind of risk with Zach
