growing concerned about chads future

    I think Chad will be alright. I just hope we don't let him go one day to the Dolphins for a broken down Brett Favre! :(

    I saw that the original posts of this thread were before the 2006 season.

    I had to look all of this up, but for perspective, the Jets finished the 2005 season at 4-12.

    The Jets went 10 and 6 in the 2006 season. Pennington passed for 300 yards and one touchdown, in a wild card playoff loss to the Pats.

    As every school child knows, the wheels fell off the wagon for the Jets again in 2007. Among other things, Pennington got hurt and the Jets finished that year at 4-12.

    As you said, Pennington was released in favor of Favre, and went to Miami in the middle of the 2008 pre-season training camp.

    Jets beat the Patriots in 06. Then in 08 Chad went to Miami and won the MVP award. Honestly if we kept Chad , we would have made a serious run at the super bowl or if Favre stayed healthy . Obviously neither happened.
