It all comes down to whether Teven Jenkins will be good. I really don't think he was very high on JD's draft board. That may be the reason why JD moved up: he felt there was only one great G prospect, and we got him. If he felt Jenkins was close at all, I don't think he trades. We will find out soon. As far as Moore/Crowder, I would like to have them both if possible. Remember last year when we had a couple WRs injured, and had no where to go. We also don't know exactly what to expect from Mimms. We don't know if Moore will need some time. With 5 receivers of decent caliber we have a lot of good options, even in case of injury. I am not sure about you, but I don't want to see Berrios play again.

We also now have another possibility. Say a guy like Turner becomes available for a fair price. We CAN sign him and release Crowder to get enough CAP room. Without Moore this option would be a tough one, but now it is available. All and all, a great pick of Moore, which improves us right away, and also allows for a possibility to get more CAP room if a pro bowl type player becomes available.

    Clicks.

Same with Cimini. Go against the concensus and generate debate. Nothing more than hacks for years now as they probably lost the reason and enjoyment from what they do.

True but maybe it has to do with the trade value. Idk but Kiper loved Moore

What's going on here is that we are treating Mel as some sort of aficionado of football. He is not. No one knows how these players will turn out, but logic and commons sense says JD did a good job so far. Take Moore for instance. He only had the most yards per game this year (150) in the entire SEC history and I think second in NCAA FBS history. And he did this going against a lot of CBs that are drafted to NFL this year. He is also the fastest receiver in this class out of anyone who had at least 71 yards per game. Faster than all top prospects. The guy is a stud, the only negative is he is 5'9", which is why he is not a top 10 pick. But with Davis and Mimms, the guy is perfect for us. Can easily be a 1000 yard receiver down the line.

If it's any consolation Todd McShay just picked the Jets for his team with the best draft so far on ESPN. Not that it really matters what Kiper or McShay think about a teams draft.

Love the Moore pick. It does make Crowder expendable though. I think Douglas will cut him, and then take the money and sign a top CB like Nelson or Sherman. If so, no one can disagree with that.

Exactly...where does it say only one slot-type receiver can be on the field at one time?
Wouldn't Crowder, Moore and Mimms be a nightmare to cover?

it sounds like, from this conversation, that moore would have been our pick at 23 if we didn't trade up.

"The lone controversial moment of Moore's college career came at the end of the 2019 season. Moore caught a touchdown in the final minute of a game against rival Mississippi State that could've tied the score with an extra point. But Moore committed an excessive celebration penalty for raising his leg like a dog urinating, triggering a 15-yard penalty and leading to a missed extra point and an Ole Miss loss."

We might need a strong legged kicker with Moore urinating all over end zones in the NFL, catching TDs from Zach.
