While I really liked the AVT trade and the Wilson pick I had been looking forward to day 2 the most because we had 2 thirds and the 34. Trading back and recouping a third would make today a lot more exciting and quite a bit longer.

Neither am I, but I still wouldn’t move back ten spots, 5 yes, not ten.

I’m one to respect others opinion on players but I honestly don’t get the love for JOK, he’s 6’1-200lbs, how is that even remotely considered good size for a MLB?

He’s a safety that played LB for ND, in the NFL it won’t work. What is he going to do when guards or tackles are getting to second level against him?

Its Darron Lee all over again, the laws of physics simply can’t be ignored.

Different scheme. Darron Lee has nothing to do with It. We aren't going to be In 3-4 alignments that require a ton of muscle. Speed is more important.

However. The more I watch of JOK, the more I think we should go another route.

Yep, this is something Connor Rogers has been going on about -- that teams always call about picks #33 and 34 because of the "first round talents" that slip out of night one. Thought we would be interested in trading down after we traded up for AVT

I know RB sometimes can be a popular pick for us at 34, but I fail to see how that helps improve our team with all the players still left on the board (plus the trade down potential there as well). We've also seen similar systems to what we expect for our offense not need a top tier investment in running back succeed with day 3 and undrafted guys.

This would be awesome. And despite the lack of payout this year, I'd love it even more if some team traded us a 3rd this year and a 2022 1st to grab their guy right now.

Take Moore (could be a stud in the slot and will grow long-term with Wilson), cut Crowder who is in the last year of his deal, save $10mm. Use the added cap space (plus $ after hopefully cutting A. Lewis) and sign a couple of players who can really help us. Trai Turner (OG) takes our line from weakness to strength. How about R. Sherman (CB), S. Nelson (CB), or B. Poole (CB). And what about KJ Wright (LB) or K. Alexander (LB) - either could really help us.

The more I think about this the more I like it. I don't need Wilson developing chemistry w/ receivers who project to leave a year from now. Davis, Mims, and Moore would be in it for the long haul.

I understand the scheme portion Mean, I still think he’s incredibly undersized for the position. It’s not the speed I’m concerned with, it’s literally his size.

Bobby Wagner is 6 feet tall but he still 245 lbs, and fast.

JOK is 215, he is literally same size as Jamal Adams.

Who do you like in second round?

I like Azeez if Jets go defense.

That would be a hell of a move but I don't think there's any player available right now that another team would give up a first for, let alone a first and a third.

    I doubt any team will offer a 2022 1st, maybe a 2nd at best.

I agree. JOK reminds me a lot of Jabrill Peppers coming out of college.

I like Tyson Campbell or OJulari for defense.

I like Terrace Marshall, Dyami Brown, and Tevin Jenkins.

There are a lot of good players left right now though.

Hopefully we can get 2-3 more starters for this team before this draft is over.

Sounding like our OL GM wasn't to keen on Jenkins then.

Mike White had a good camp last season but Gase wasn't interested in anything he hadn't had his hands on previously, see Morgan for further proof.

He could be a very potent weapon, so much speed.

I'm expecting them to go for speed on O and D at this point, but i still worry about sacrificing too much size -- D.Lee flashbacks

There is a number of teams trying to trade up to the top of the second round to draft a quarterback.. J.D make it happen let’s trade down!

Oh a team will definitely offer them a first. A team whose GM wants to get fired.
