We have lots of options so figured i'd make a poll of what people want here 1) we could trade down to get back a 3rd rounder since we used both to move up in the first for AVT 2) Take BPA which is Jeremiah Owusu Koramoah. he was a top 20 guy who fell out of the 1st and fits our defense perfect to be our starting MLB for a long time 3) we drafted a QB and a lineman to protect him, we could take the best WR available in elijah moore to help him further 4) we can double dip on o-line. coleman is great value was expected to be a late 1st. could start at RG as a rookie and eventually move to RT 5) we could double dip on o-line in another direction with landon dickerson who would play center and allow mcgovern to kick out to RG 6) other
Tevin Jenkins/Asante Samuel/ Creed Humphrey/Tyson Campbell at 34. If not trade back for as much as you can get and include one of our 4/5/6 to sweeten the deal
Other - Jenkins. We need more o-line to help the rookie. Lets just do it and not put it off. We have a good prospect at 34.
I really doubt the Jets draft a Center. They had very little interest in the position during FA. Jenkins is interesting but I think they trade down and fill two needs.
latest rumor is azeez ojulari to the jets at 34. personally I wouldn't like the pick. he's an undersized edge rusher in college who likely tries to transition to a 4-3 SAM and while we do need LBer if we want to go that route JOK makes a lot more sense here. either way though I'll trust JD in whoever he picks
I voted trade down because I think that is most likely what JD will do. Personally, I'd love to add Jenkins, but I think JD may be counting on Clark to start at RG this season. I think adding Jenkins would be a great move, however because he can be an outstanding OG for a couple of seasons, can help depth tremendously at OT so that if Becton goes down with injury again, we'd have great flexibility as Fant or could move to LT and Jenkins to RT and Clark/VanRoten or Feeney to RG. I could see JOK being the pick, but his not being a good tackler is a huge concern for me. What good is a LB who can't tackle? Dickerson is NOT a fit in our scheme. He doesn't have the movement ability/agility, and he's too big a risk with his injury history. I'd like a trade down, add a 3rd round pick, and take Humphrey or a CB in the 2nd, and then nab either a WLB or Brevin Jordan in the 3rd.
trade down seems likely. we have flexibilty at o-line. mcgovern can play OG or C, Becton and fant can play either tackle spot. so can edoga. AVT can play OT if needed. clark is a wildcard. if he winds up as a solid starter that would be amazing for us. for good LBers who can tackle a guy like cameron mcgrone could be had in the 4th most likely and is a great tackler and more then athletic enough to be our MLB. I could see schwartz and mcgrone as our 4th rounders. if we trade down in the 2nd we could still land a guy like asante sameul or tyson campbell with our 2nds and 3rd and maybe even a walker little or wyatt davis. I'd love to grab RB hawkins in the 6th and maybe wiggins in the 5th. lots of opportunity here for us. I like jordan but don't think TE is a pick since we gave up picks already to move up and it's less of a need. I think herndon can bounce back and the oter 3 guys are "good enough" for 2021. we can look at TE next year
I’m all for building the OL but I think that might be over correcting. Not that they couldn’t use him but there are other good players at different positions
