I think Cowboys will look to move up, they got that extra 3rd rounder for still getting Parsons. That is the most logical option.
Pyle (Quinnen Williams) has been updated for Fonda (Zach Wilson). You have to honor the new recruits.
After watching Darron Lee at 230 lbs get manhandled in the middle for a few seasons, I'm worried about a 215 lb MLB, even though the position is a big need. Maybe Nick Bolton might be more solid at the point of attack.
I could see a CB or WR also, but my gut is that JDwill trade down a bit to recover a third round pick I love picking high up but if we use our current pick it’s a long wait to the end of round 4...
Another thing I think could happen we use one of our picks we have next year and a pick this year to move into the third round.
I think you want to try and trade back because of the 1st round trade up. I think a trade back that could get you a 4th back at minimum or a 3rd rounder hopefully. There are a lot of good players left. I prefer non OL at this point, Non-OL: -Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah -Azeez Ojulari -Ronnie Perkins -A few CB’s -Elijah Moore And others as well OL: -Teven Jenkins -Jalen Mayfield -Liam Eichenberg -Creed Humphrey -Landon Dickerson
really good point about the QB room...right now we have Mike White and James Morgan behind Wilson....that doesn’t sound very appealing to me....hard to imagine that’s the group we roll with by the opener
i'd look to slither down in round 2 - placing calls to detroit and carolina with the plan of taking their 4th. and then possibly coming back into the third round later on.
Different defense though. The WILL linebacker in this defense will be mainly a coverage and speed guy. We tried to fit Darron Lee into a hybrid 3-4 with not enough beef next to him since DeMario Davis played the same style and they both fit the 4-3 better. I'm not a big fan of this dude though. Seems a bit too raw for a linebacker to take him this high.
if we move down to the mid of the 2nd round (50ish) we should get a mid round 3rd back. I want to trade down as well but I will admit taking JOK or jenkins is very tempting.
it'll be interesting to see what happens. depends what JD wants. there is good value in the mid 2nd round some players likely available around 50 are wyatt davis, creed humphrey, jabril cox, kelvin joseph, asante samuel jr, rondale moore
if we pick at 34 may not be a point to watch the rest of day 2. but JD could always trade up to get back into the 3rd round
We won't do it and shouldn't do it, but I think someone gets a steal in Christian Barmore. He obviously wasn't as dominant as Q was when he was at Alabama, but he's in the same mold/play. Strong, good arm extension and an above average first step.
