Thank you. I'm glad that someone else gets it. Too many Jets fans are wanting to draft all these defensive players, especially DE. We can do that next year.

Etienne was never ever going to be there at 34 but I sure as shit didn’t see this coming.

You let them come in and then pitch it to Waddle and he blows by everyone. You actually need players to pressure Tua which is why I wanted to draft a hybrid LB to cover the quick WR & TE slants and knock them off their routes. Waddle is fast with another gear which is why the Fish took him over Smith. Waddle beats the pressure.

That’s how they got on top.
that and staying consistent in their identity and approach, unlike the Jets chasing their own tail every few years.

Etienne was a luxury for us, but still disappointed we couldn't get him.

I actually was going to predict this pick but then I started watching something else. I'm not surprised this Is the route JAX went. I like It. Good for them.

Poor James Robinson. He balled out last year for that.

Whats with teams trying to recreate magic with college teammates?

    Jaguars with Trevor and Etienne
    Eagles with Hurts and Smith
    Dolphins with Tua and Waddle
    Bengals with Burrow and Chase

    Odd

Yeah, but I believe Douglas does have a blueprint that he's building on, just like the Ravens and Steelers do.

That's not entirely true. Keep in mind we had 23 and 34. We could have gone defense with one pick and offense with the other. But, as I have always said, this is a 2 year process and whatever we don't fill this year, we can do it next.

Urban Meyer is going to use both of them in his spread up-tempo offense

I think it’s a great pick for them...strongest duo in the NFL or close to it

It's a weird-ass pick (and death to people who own either of these guys in dynasty) but makes sense in the context of half this draft being reuniting QB's with their college WR/RB's. It's almost as if these GM's took a look at Aaron Rodgers being disgruntled over the Packers not doing shit he wanted and decided I better kiss my franchise QB's fanny.
