Salfino is an absolute moron. Think Skip Bayless, but not famous and even worse takes because he needs even more attention to get famous.

I think it could make sense to trade up from 34 into round 1 to have the 5th year option.

I would much prefer trading back, but it would just depend on how big of a jump JD executes.

I believe this might be for Teven Jenkins. Seems as though we've been all over him.

    I am all for this.

Imagine what our running game could become?

Based on needs and most mock scenarios/rankings, I'm guessing its for Jenkins, Vera-Tucker or, while much more of a long shot, Darisaw.

I feel like based on most mocks, its 50-50 at best that one of the three will be there at 23. Plus the Bears (20) and Colts (21) are both popular OL destinations.

I haven't personally watched a lot of him but I like what I've seen and read. Might be a nasty running mate to put next to Becton.

Not sure if I think we should really move up for him but what do I know.

Here is is what he actually said. Basically just doing a due diligence ahead of time in case they want to trade up or down. The "looking to move up" part is fake news.

You knew JD was going to mention moving up and moving down in addition to the obvious just staying in place.

He really does not like people knowing what he is likely to do because that carries with it a competitive disadvantage.

I don’t think it’s a given that Vera Tucker or Jenkins will be gone by 15.

They are gaining so much traction though, you think they fall like Mangold did when he fell to Jets? Who are teams going to take in front of them?

We know who the top ten are going to be, Lawrence, Wilson, Fields, Sewell, Smith, Waddle, Pitts, Parsons, Chase, Surtain.

Then it’s going to be Slater, Vera-Tucker, Jenkins, or Phillips, Rousseau.

I believe that’s how it will play out unless the linemen go higher and the WRs drop a bit.

I also believe Pitts will not go as high as people believe, he’s a WR that is not as elite as Smith and Chase and he’s not a good blocking TE which will drop him a bit.

Without listening to the interview but hearing it explained it makes sense. Also makes sense to keep your finger on the pulse of what it costs to move up or down. You don't want to be clueless when an opportunity presents itself.

I don't see Sewell, Slater or Darrisaw dropping to where they could trade up without spending way too much draft capital. Tucker if he is still available around 19 would be worth packaging the 23 and their 4th and later 5th rd pick.
Jenkins I don't think is worth a 1st round pick and there are also a lot of O linemen available they should be able to get some quality in the late 2nd or 3rd if they want to package some late picks for.

And he’s looking to move down.
And he’s looking to stay put.

He should be looking to do all of these things if the draft board dictates it.

I don't think they will be trading that 2nd pick.

I have a feeling Vera-Tucker is going to be a bust I hope we don’t touch him with a 10 foot pole. He’s undersized to play tackle and isn’t stout enough to play guard. I would hate that pick at 23 and if we moved up for him id loose my mind.

I think your missing the point. it's not about the 2OA pick its about trading up from 23 in the 1st or trading our 2nd rounder in get a 3rd 1st rounder

You think they would play Jenkins next to Becton? Is he a definite tackle to guard conversion?

I think it makes sense, you just don't know who might fall.

What if Jamar Chase falls to the 11-13 range. Would people be mad if JD traded 23+66+Carolina's 2nd? I dont think I would.

Or like everyone keeps saying, if AVT falls to 16, would you trade 23+34 for 16+49? If you think this guy is franchise guard, I'd understand it.
