Sanchez and Pennington saw it all here, the highs and the toxic lows. I'm sure they had a lot to tell him. I hope he just listened and paid attention

Wilson, Sanchez and Chad could also share shoulder surgery stories.

They probably told him to go back to school and stay the hell away from the Jets. "If you don't believe us, ask Bryce Petty about the Oline". "If you're really lucky kid, Douglas will draft Fields instead and you wind up in a quality organization like the 49'ers.

Not only that but a CS that is on the same time line as the rookie QB. We don’t have to worry about Zach having a promising rookie season and then having to learn a new offense after that rookie year. He will very likely be in the same offense for his first 3 years minimum, that is a huge difference to Darnolds first(only) 3 years here.

Who’s the best QB in this draft? “The one drafted by SF”

I can’t remember who it was that answered that question that way this week but it’s probably the best answer I’ve heard in all my years following the draft and it’s probably reality.

Yeah, you don't get too many teams that are built to win and just missing a QB picking this early in the draft.

The 49ers are going to be the answer to the question that's always asked when people pose a trade down from 2. If you build the team before selecting the QB, how are you ever going to pick early enough to get that QB?

We can dream. I would love if we could snag Teven Jenkins and Travis Etienne with the 23 & 34 picks. Grab a top 10 receiver in the 3rd or 4th round. Snag Matt Bushman BYU TE in the 6th round. We need to at least give 5 picks to the offense. If we can get a our future QB, RB, RT, WR, & TE I will be very happy. Maybe grab a kicker like Jose Borregales too.

Agree 100% REVISIon. I want to go QB at # 2 (Zach obv.) and OL at 23 and 34.

Draft the RIGHT Rookie QB...and then give him EVERYTHING he needs to succeed.

Do you guys think all QBs drafted by a good team will be good? I’m trying to understand this premise.

I thought he’d be good not because he got drafted by New England.

I actually take that back. Petty was great. We screwed him up. Thought he was going to be a stud and anyone else who thought he was going to be a stud is extremely smart and knows football and I bow in their presence.

by the way now that Sam is gone I need a name change........

I actually thought Petty had potential as well. I thought he was going to turn into a "steal." :(
