I think it is one of the things going on with Wilson.

I think the "4 QB's might be taken on the first 4 picks" is another bit of smoke the NFL is blowing at the top teams in the draft, trying to stampede them into doing exactly that. It's a bit of likely misinformation (since no draft has ever had 4 QB's in a row taken at the top) designed to make the top teams think really hard about whether they are going to pass on a QB even though it is absolutely clear that there are not 4 QB's worthy of a top 4 pick in this year's draft.

Basically this draft has tremendous WR and OL talent available to the top 10 plus a TE who looks good and a few very good looking defensive players. Everybody who is not picking high with the possible exception of the Broncos is trying their hardest to get the QB's taken early because that pushes really great prospects down the board some.

Wilson is getting the special treatment because he just put up a great season and the Jets are desperate for a QB and his injury concerns probably have him off most team's boards at this point. I mean who drafts a QB who is playing with a torn labrum in his non-throwing shoulder instead of having it fixed? If Wilson was really a great prospect he would have had the surgery before the draft, like Lawrence did, however he has had no time to not be in hustle mode since the season ended. He isn't 6'6" like Lawrence and 6'2 210 lb guys like him don't get drafted high off of one great college season in the Div I FBS during a pandemic.

Just to add: Wilson has never had time to get the left-side torn labrum fixed. He couldn't afford to miss the off-season last year because he didn't have the BYU job nailed down and he likely couldn't afford to rehab two torn labrum repairs in 2019 either before the season.

Also how does it look on your resume to have two shoulder repairs before you ever enter the NFL?

I mean Wilson might work out but the Jets luck doesn't run like that in my experience and nobody but nobody is going to be surprised if the kid's career ends on a bad hit and a separated shoulder. He's got two candidates for that sad ending before he has ever set foot in the NFL.

It is disappointing that a guy who has been a member since 2006 and who has over 11,000 posts to his name would intentionally act like this, Legler. I would like to think you are much better than this. Noam was 100% spot on and accurate in what he said, as was BicketyBam in his post from yesterday. Or, as Dawinner and others have put it, this entire thread has devolved into a complete shit-show, and you have had a significant hand in that happening, and you already know that.

Or maybe everyone's being sensitive to disagreement and a lot of folks can't handle that the potential next golden savior of the Jets very strongly resembles the last. We could reduce this thread by 20 pages if there's wasn't so much crying about leglers gifs.

We could reduce it by even more without the gifs from God's gift to the football world - legler

guy needs to be taken down a few notches

I just wanna log in and read a little about the prospects and its drowned out by all his childish bullshit. Br4d had a couple decent posts that got buried again, sad

I’m sorry you feel that way. Maybe you and the rest of the maligned should report me or something. Maybe you have enough support to get me banned. I won’t take it personal. I will understand that it’s for your well being and that of this thread. Until then I can’t be no one else but me.

I'll keep my answer simple. You don't think too highly of Douglas if you think he's going to be pressured into picking Wilson. Ok any QB for that matter. I have a better time believing that a team will float anonymous negative stories about a prospect they want to fall to them.

I think it comes from agents more than anyone. I think the agents promote their boys to the mock draft people / analysts relentlessly.

Mel Kiper probably gets lots of free dinners in February/March/April...

Wait if you believe teams will float anonymous negative stories in the hopes a prospect falls, why is the notion of overhyping a prospect for the same effect idiotic?

I'd never report you, that's bush. I just dish it back but your boy Vilma gets all over my case. He knows your posting style (passive aggressive) but overlooks it. I have a little fun and all of a sudden I'm trolling for 20 pages. You've been trolling for 2 fucking months

No one is going to report you. But God forbid anyone gives you any shit and all of sudden we are attacking your opinion, which isn't the case. If you want to post in the style that you do, you have to expect a little blowback.

Because with enough digging it's a lot easier to get a negative story out there (that's actually true) than it is to pull the wool over a bunch of NFL GM's eyes. I have an extremely hard time believing that Douglas puts any stock into what ESPN, Youtube channels, beat writers, ex-scout wannabe, etc has to say. You apparently think he has been hoodwinked and that means you must have zero faith in the guy. And think he's an imbecile.

I’m just trying to help you guys out best I can cause the style or gifs is not going to change. I think the accusations of anger is projection. I’m cool as the other side of the pillow on this end.

Also, I think my trolling is funnier and classier. You don’t even have the decency to draw the line at epilepsy.
