As a Jets fan, I want the Panthers to go 0-16 because we've got their 2nd and 4th rounders next year. As a Jets fan, I hope that Sam throws 50TDs and 0INTs next year.

If I can have both, I'll take it. Thanks!

Absolutely NOT! Darnold is a really good guy who wanted to stay with us. I hope he kicks ass in Carolina. WE screwed HIM, he didn't screw US! VIVA DARNOLD!!!!

100% wishing him well! He needed to get out of dysfunctionland and into a better situation. Anyone who does not wish him the best is fucked up considering what this organization did to him.

I'm rooting for Darnold. It would be great if he had stayed with the Jets, had a sudden, massive turnaround and became a top 5 FQB, but the draft pick risk was better than sticking with Sam. I don't blame the Jets for their choice.

I hope the guy is able to continue his career with better success. I think the departure was the best move for both parties. Sam needed a fresh start somewhere else, same with the Jets. Dude was a class act.

If Darnold can somehow fix his footwork, he can be at the very least an average starter if not better. Who should be blamed for the fact that he hasn’t fixed this in 3 years Jordan Palmer, the Jets or Sam?

If Sam can't fix it with Brady's guidance, then Sam should bear most of the blame. If Brady is able to fix it, then Palmer and the Jets deserve equal blame. So, it's TBD right now.

I don't root for anyone not wearing a Jets uniform. F him, don't care.

Ya. There's about 8 ways this could look bad for JD, and only one path where JD will look like a genius

To be honest, he seemed more accountable for his failures than Gase ever did. Never threw teammates under the bus, in the worst possible situation. He seems like a decent guy and I'll be hoping it works out for him.

I root for the Jets not the Panthers, as far as I'm concerned, I only care about Zach Wilson, Darnold was terrible here and we wasted 3 #2 picks on him

I hope he becomes a star QB but the Panthers lose enough games to give the Jets a high 2nd.

After this season I will be rooting for nothing but success for Sam and the Panthers will be my “NFC team”

I really hope he out duels Brady both times they play this year. I want him to succeed regardless.

Really ? Who cares ? He gets to play and get paid big bucks in NFL

Meanwhile we continue to wait for a SB :/

While that's of course true, the converse is also true...if he flops in Carolina it doesn't mean that with a new coaching staff, a better OL, better skill positions and overall better talent in NY, that he would have flopped here too...A million different things can go into this, he could eat Carolina BBQ, choke on a chicken bone and never be heard from again...I think all we have in sports is discussing what we think and then seeing what happens. I'm ok saying that I think Darnold will go on to have a good career and also think he would have had one in NY too w/ zero caveats...we'll never no about the NY piece but I'd feel comfortable saying that if he plays well in Carolina he'd have played well in NY because it's really all we have to go on...just my two cents which isn't worth very much in the overall scheme of things

No. Why would you want a decent guy like Sam to fail? Stupid

Darnold is a good kid with a good attitude. For what warped reason would you want someone like that to fail? Now, if he was a scumbag, that's a different story.
