That’s exactly what I mean when I say heavy feet. For someone who is 4.4 fast he sure takes his time time to set up before releasing the football. Add that with his long throwing motion and you have too much time holding the football. I think he can be coached up to clean it up and like I’ve said I think Fields on SF will have more success than Lawrence or Wilson this year based on the pieces around him and his ability to win with his athleticism and mentality.

We're approaching idol worship I think. Guy isn't even drafted yet.

Wilson is the pick JD is making so it really doesn’t matter to be honest. It’s just good to talk football with guys who actually know football like Vilma and Legler.

Imagine Jets fans debating Jets football decisions on a Jets message board. Crazy!

Wait, this forum is for discussion? I thought it was for love and support.

    Is there a Tebow subforum?

Jets fans are fickle. There will be idol worship until he plays poorly then he will suck then idol worship again if he plays well. There is very little in between for Jets fans. That is why it is hard to play here. If you do not have HOF production from day 1 you get crucified.

Then there is the faction that needs to be proven right and will be posting every week on how Zach sucks or Fields sucks (depending on the pick) and nit pick every throw.

I don’t get the emotional attachment predraft. To me they are all prospects until they have the jersey on.

I still like Wilson over Fields but I am becoming much more comfortable with him the more I see and learn about him. Only time will tell.

When I read fans saying Zack throws a great deep ball I cringe. He seems to throw to a spot on the field and after that it's up to the WR to figure it out. I don't see a lot of touch, placement on his deep passes at all. Too many 50/50 balls. Too many times the WR has to slow down or stop to catch Zach's perfectly thrown deep ball.

I still don’t understand why Fields is not consensus 3 at worst.

He literally checks every box and is off the charts in some areas...also comes from a big program with hype since high school.

It’s a little strange that Wilson is considered the better prospect by most, but I atleast get that people fall in love with his Favre playing style and quick release. It does look intriguing on tape.

It’s pretty much crazy how anyone could take any of the QBs after Wilson and Lawrence over Fields...Mac Jones?? They’re not in the same league as prospects.

I think it would be hilarious.

Honestly, I don't really care if we take Wilson or Fields. I obviously prefer Fields but I'm not going to lose my mind if the pick is Wilson.

I don't really understand what this means. No deep throw goes to a receiver, it goes to where the QB thinks his WR will be. It involves timing, anticipation and the relationship between the QB and WR. I watched a play where Wilson rolled to the right and when no one was open he motioned to the receiver to run left and the result was a TD.

That's what drew me to Darnold. I've since found out that there is only one Brett Favre.
