Yeah, the one guy caught Alan Hahn in the end about people just trying to nitpick things to make players look like there are problems. There isn't much insight into the captain situation other than at the start of 2020 season Zach competed for QB again after the injury and by then team captains were assigned. All indicators show he leads behind the scenes and on the field he is very liked
I think it might nearly be time to log out until draft night, I'm fucking sick of the back and forth, continually repeated back and forth. What the fuck do you all get out of repeating the same mundane lines to each other every fucking day? It is madness
Steve Young explained that in the video I posted of his interview. Most of the BYU players go and do their 2 year mission trip first, then go to school and play football, so they're older and more mature. He said those guys usually become captains. He also said that Wilson didn't become a captain initially because the team wasn't certain who would be starting at QB at the time they voted for captain. Wilson was later named a Captain by the HC.
I think it is the angst and stress of being a Jets fan around the top of the draft. I will say there is no reason for people to be so divisive between Wilson and Fields. Seems ridiculous to me, both are going to come into better situations here than Darnold did. Also, both are miles ahead of where Sanchez was grasping offenses.
This isnt directed at you personally.. bc this has been common sentiment. Nothing should ever stand in the way of bringing in the best & brightest at every single position,w only the highest of expectations..specifically w a top 3 pick. Dave Gettleman was not wrong when he said they need to be gold jacket worthy or have that type of upside. Why are our expectations quite so low? And if simply being better than Sanchez is the goal..why did just run a 23 year old still developing QB out of town who wasnt exactly NON functional? There has to be a reasonable middle ground between simply a new face thats better than Sam/Sanches & Having similar talent to Rodgers/Mahomes.
I love how Wilson and Fields have "character concerns," but the guy with the DUI who showed up to his pro day overweight doesn't.
Who is better between Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson? Or between Mahomes and Watson? You are splitting air with your take. You assume that only one QB can be succesful and that all other are going to fail.
