So instead of blowing out the 2nd worst team in the nfl you would like us to barely squeak one out against them?
The raiders shouldn't even care about this game if they want the no 1 draft pick. Lamont and Moss probably wont even play and it means nothing to them. I expect us to not win huge but control the game from start to finish and give the backups a lot of reps. All that is important though is that we get the W.
My god this unmitigated lunacy is what scares me. Not wanting a blow out? Like we have the luxury of saying , " Hey lets just win by a field goal", in order to keep expectations of a playoff game lower................................. give me a freakin break. At the beginning of the season I had no expectations of the playoffs. Lets win the freaking game. If that involves the Jets winning 95-5 I say lets bring that on!

I'd like to see a blowout because I hate the Raiders, and I'd also like to see the Jets cover the 13 point spread. Clemens coming in would be interesting though. I can't imagine he would get to throw against the Raiders secondary much unless we're up by 24+
Raiders have top ranked pass D because no team has to actually pass on them. No team is playing from behind and racking up huge garbage yards against a prevent D. Run left. Run right. Run up the middle. Go home with a win. Remeber a few years ago when the Jets had a top ranked pass D simply because we had NO RUN D? Remember the Raider game when their opening drive was 22 runs in a row for a score, not ONE PASS? There you have it.
I'm not saying that the Jets should play easy and barely win! Geez man I didn't think my thread would continue for this long...hooray me!
how could you not have want a blowout, in 02 they blewout the packers on there way to the post season and then followed it up with a blowout at home vs the colts.
Considering that we'd be huge underdogs going to a playoff game if we win, I'd doubt the team would be stupid enough to be overconfident
I like that you talk as if your on the team or you talk to the players. Good god...I'm just saying history has shown blowouts leads to overconfidence that's all. That's why they said it was good for the Colts to lose a game so they wouldn't be overconfident...even though they suck now. And yeah I need a new avatar.
