Excellent point, Matt Robinson. I know that same fans have said that Matt Snell should have actually won Super Bowl MVP for his performance on the ground in that game! and I always liked Gerry Philbin, always got a kick out of him. Hard-nosed player and a funny guy to boot!
Some amazingly sad but true facts for Jets fans: It was before... Bill Walton did acid. Ed Marinaro strolled across the 7th Street Precinct on Hill Street Blues. Ruth Pointer sang lead on Automatic. Steve Urkel pulled his pants up too high. This "amazing athlete" featured for Jets scouts named Vernon Ghoulston but turned off others NFL personnel like Rex Ryan. Jamal Adams realized he was too distinct personalities 1.) a simple box safety with a penchant for sacks 2.) a near Internet social media demi-god on par with Kevin Durant.
I remember when he we drafted him thinking "WTF?!" because I didn't have him in any of my projected draft scenarios. And then he literally WAS a ghost.
