Panthers fans feel like they gave up too much and I agree. ;)

Let’s not forget his substance abuse problems.

its a good deal for the Panthers - they are desperate for a QB and at #8 there isn't likely to be one left and it would be near impossible for them to trade up to get one without giving away the farm for the 4th QB - this way they can likely get a top 3 pick next year unless Sam turns things around and if he does then good for them and him

Happy with what we got back for Sam ends a dreadful situation started by Big Mike.

Learn our lessons, and move forward. JD has the opportunity now to deliver a team that his HC wants to coach.

Exciting time ahead. One they must deliver on too.

Think one of the polorizing aspects of this off season is how there's many avenues the Jets could have taken this year. With no real concensus on which on to take.

Best of luck Sam. No one has any doubt that your a great guy, and handled this off-season with dignity considering the noise.

    it is nuts:
    - Sanchez - cost us a 1st and 2nd round picks and some players
    - Hackenburg - 2nd round
    - Smith - 2nd round
    - Darnold - cost us 1st and three 2nd round picks

And we have literally nothing under centre :(

Colin Cowherd all but ready to say Sam Darnold will go onto have a Hall of Fame career with 3x super bowls to his name with the Panthers

Their mindset is to win a Super Bowl; that doesn’t mean they realistically expect it this season and would consider not achieving it a failure.

You can go back to Richard Todd, if you have the stomach for it. And you’re absolutely right about nothing under center. I’m loosening up my arm. You know, just in case

A common denominator for all four is bad GMs and offensive coaching. JD better break the spell with the second choice

You think all the QBs are going to be gone in top ten? I bet they won’t, the media is pushing the agenda that 5 QBs are going to be taken and no one is going to drop.

They can also sign a FA, Alex Smith is still available right?

No guarantee that it's Wilson, unless I missed that somewhere.

I do think that all the QBs will be in the top 10 - Jags, Jets and Niners are all 99.9% taking a QB and very likely the Falcons are as well
