Leaf's problem was the attitude, not his athletic ability.....Wilson or Fields are both solid choices in all aspects, prefer Wilson though
Add it all up and we got a 2022 1st round pick, exactly what I've been saying was Sam's worth. A low first, but a first. I wish Sam the best but I also hope that 2nd round pick becomes the 33 pick in the draft!
Disclaimer; I'm a lifelong Bills' fan It will be easy to root for Sam now that he is out of the AFCE. I hope he has a Tannehill-like resurgence in Carolina. He always seemed like a good guy with real potential who was stuck in a tough situation.
depending on how things fall i'd use the 4 and 6 to slide into the 3rd maybe. then have 2 1sts, 2 2nds, and 2 3rds. now we are up to 4 6 rounders in 2022
Or it just means Douglas thought another 2 in 2022 was more valuable than this year. Usually it's the reverse but with the lack of information and volatility in this year's draft I'm not sure that's the case.
All we can do is hope for the best, for the Jets and for Sam. I’m as excited as I’ve ever been for the upcoming season. Think of it! No more Gase, an exciting Head Coach and a good shot we have a defense that nobody wants to play! Say it! J E T S Jets Jets Jets!!!! LETS GO!
Where's all the experts who swore Sam sucks and JD would never be offered more than a 4th round pick for him???? Panthers just traded for their starting QB. Any word on a new contract? Maybe they'll just sign off on the 5th yr?
It's been reported the option is being picked up. They're gonna give him at least two years to prove something unless he is somehow even worse next year.
Lol! We got next to Jack shit for him. If someone offered a 3rd this year he would have been gone. Panthers are going to extend him 4 years for 160 million! Lock him up!!!!
I don't follow the Panthers but this is a great move for them even if Sam doesn't ultimately work out. They now get to take a great value pick at # 8 depending on who drops there (Sewell would be great for Sam), their division will all have new QB's within 2-3 years so if the Sam trade doesn't work they fill out the rest of the roster and pick their next QB with a more talented team and Shady will finally be gone.
Ya and it pisses me right off! Wilson or Fields needs time to develop in practice. Maybe if we’re smart we pick up Alex Smith or CJ Beathard and let them roll with it for at least a few games to buy the kid more time to get up to speed.
